I want to invest time in it, but...

🌟 Overview
Purchased 10 codes due to FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out)
Realization that not all features were necessary
Many features are underdeveloped

🤔 Usability Experience
UX Confusion: The user interface is not intuitive
AI Capabilities: The AI, a key feature, performs poorly especially in language detection without explicit instruction
Alternative Tools: Preferable use of other AI software that integrates more seamlessly into the browser

⚙️ Functionality
Feature Overload: The software tries to do too much, leading to a lack of focus
Speed & Performance: It operates slower compared to alternatives, which impacts frequent usage

🚀 Potential for Improvement
Acknowledgment that the software's AI has room for growth and enhancement
Current AI features are not operational, affecting today's review

đź’ˇ Design and Client Interaction
Capability to design an attractive and smart portal
Despite this, clients tend to revert to traditional communication methods like emails or calls

đź“Ś Expectation vs. Reality
Misunderstanding regarding the use of 10 codes for multiple organizations
The competition offers better UX/UI and speed, influencing user preference

đź“Š Final Thoughts
The software is considered to be solid in its foundation
Success with the portal is likely for some users, but it falls short for the my needs

You need to take some time off to fully understand what this software can do and how to use it. I know that's the case with everything, but for some reason, the UX is making me confused. I bought 10 codes to unlock everything because of FOMO, but when you really sit down and figure out what you need to do with it, you realize you don't need all of that, and a lot of these features are not yet well-developed.

The AI was a selling point; I thought I would use it all the time, but it's been working poorly and is not there yet for detecting other languages unless you tell it, which adds extra clicks and hassle. I also find that I just use another AI software that integrates easily into the browser and does it quickly. BUT, I also know this is an area that can and will be improved. Writing today about this review, my AI is not even working.

I found out that I can make the portal so sexy, inviting, and smart, but in the end, the client will not use it. Maybe they use it once and then revert to emails or phone calls. But hey, that's just my area (web agency).

I feel like maybe it's trying to do too much at once? I know it's trying to clone a specific company, but if you have to do that, do it well, not halfway. And because I went back to that other company, not because I have invested time in it... no, but it comes down to the UX/UI and speed. Like, Fuse is slow compared to that, and that adds up if you want to use it a lot.

Then I thought (and that's my bad) that with 10 codes, I could have more than one organization with the same features, but sadly not.

Overall, it's probably a really solid software, and some will probably get a lot of success with the portal; sadly, just not here.

Best platform portals for my clients

The UI is clean and easy to understand. The UX of the platform is great overall, making it easy to navigate and understand each area and setting.

The platform has some features that remind me of Notion.

The customization options to add widgets or embed third-party apps are excellent. It seems like you can add just about anything.

The portal customization is user-friendly and extensive. I wish there were a few more design options, such as color themes and maybe even fonts.

The templates are fantastic! They make it easy to start new sections or pages. It would be great to have the option to create and save your own templates (including widgets you've created).

The knowledge base is excellent. I've had the chance to check it out a few times and found solutions to a few things.

The only thing I couldn't figure out is how to make my Portal URL custom domain. I couldn't find an option for this in the settings or documentation.

Overall, this platform leaves a good impression and has authority in the user and market. I think it has a good chance of staying around for a long time.

Its been years getting to here and its still not there

Full disclosure, I bought my codes in November 2020 and bought the monthly unlimited deal. I had big plans for Nimbus. And you always have more bugs to start than later on. Probably newer buyers are not as jaded. One of the big selling items for us was the clipping function. To this day we have never managed to get a clip made smoothly and easily saved to where we wanted it to go.

What were our plans? We set up a 3 person testing team with the intent to roll out end of 2021 for 250 staff and 1000 students. The speed of the whole app, searching, opening documents was very painful. So considering our small 3 person team was suffering we pushed back to summer 2022 before going to bigger numbers of users and therefore bigger headaches. We continued testing And Nimbus loved us they told us so they were working on it.

Speed got a bit better and GDPR was also a necessity which we needed to wait for, but they were working on it and well lots of people were working on it and we were not in a rush. We were excited about the document features about collaborating together, but it soon became clear one person could accidently ruin a document so we needed the folder structure to have a versioning system in place, it was not intuitive. We needed to email each other to point out who had worked on which one (and keep saving them so IF someone deleted things we had a back-up)- we created a separate word document to try and keep one source of truth. (As again saving it in Nimbus could have someone accidently editing it.

Front end it was - notion-like - but as with so many notion like tools - it may be notion-like but its not notion - we could not sort on tables and template management was a nightmare - also the to-do was either centralised which well we are frankly not looking for software for organising us - we want to write and research and collaborate - so we used an excel sheet and embedded it where we needed it.

So we tried sharing documents - but it got very confusing which documents had been shared - no visual clues - so we made protocols and tried to add live documents to its own folder but that further complicated an already complicated folder system. By the beginning of 2023 we had agreed that there was a lot to like but big issues that would keep it from being for the bigger user numbers as we had initially envisaged.

I tried to keep it alive by doing some small projects but actually we always faced more complications with Nimbus than we had without it- "where was that document that I had last updated?" Another big issue we ran into was had I been a member of an organisation when I wrote something or was it on my private user account - for the smaller project sometimes people would ask us why they were being asked if they wanted to be members - did they need to be and well like I said Nimbus gave more complications than they ever solved .After a few deals here - my golden rule is - how clear is the deal. If its not clear what people are offering then there is probably not a clear vision. Maybe this new portal will solve exactly these issues of collaboration and versioning we have had but honestly I am not sure.

stupidly versatile

My apologies for arriving fashionably late to the soiree!

I've been utilizing this software as a client for quite some time before I realized that a colleague of mine was also using it. The funny part? I didn't even notice initially! It was cleverly whitelabeled, and the way they had structured and set it up was simply unrecognizable.

FuseBase is a chameleon, transforming and adapting in ways that you wouldn't even conceive when merely glancing through this listing.

Are you a coach looking for an impeccable client portal? FuseBase is your ally.
Are you responsible for long-term projects for clients or within your company?
FuseBase morphs into the perfect client portal for you. Or perhaps you're after a superior version of Evernote or a straightforward knowledgebase. Guess what? FuseBase can be that too.

Having spent time using it as a guest and a client, I've managed to grasp the basic functionality. However, this brings me to my main critique: The pricing for this lifetime deal is a tad bit puzzling. It can be tricky to discern exactly what you require for your specific use case, and elements like finite OCR records are a slight letdown.

But when all is said and done, FuseBase is a software I would enthusiastically endorse for anyone working closely with clients or trying to simplify the organization of literally everything. If you're looking to provide a stellar user experience, transparent processes, task sharing, and a comprehensive overview of your collaboration all in one place, then FuseBase is the solution you have been waiting for.

Don't hesitate. Grab it.
