What’s the origin of the idea for your product?

Fynlo was born out of frustration. As freelancers and small business owners, we spent more time fixing spreadsheets and chasing receipts than actually running our businesses. Most accounting tools felt too complex, built for accountants, not for everyday users. So we created Fynlo, a simple AI-powered accounting tool that automates the boring parts like scanning receipts, tracking expenses, and managing invoices, so business owners can focus on growth instead of bookkeeping. Our mission is simple: make accounting effortless and accessible for everyone. No jargon, no steep learning curve—just smart automation that saves time and keeps your finances in check.

What problem is your product solving and how?

Small business owners waste hours on manual bookkeeping, organizing receipts, tracking expenses, and managing invoices—often without any accounting background. Traditional tools are too complex or expensive for their needs. Fynlo solves this by using AI automation to handle the repetitive work. Just upload a receipt and Fynlo automatically extracts data, categorizes expenses, and keeps your books up to date. It’s accounting made simple with no jargon, no manual entry, and clear financial records ready for review.

What’s the #1 thing you’re looking to gain from the AppSumo campaign?

We’re looking to reach early adopters such as freelancers, startups, and small business owners who can provide real feedback and help us refine Fynlo’s AI accounting features. Our goal is to grow an engaged user base, validate our roadmap, and build long-term advocates who love how simple accounting can be.

What are your plans with the customers, cash, and learnings from the AppSumo campaign?

We’ll use feedback from AppSumo users to refine Fynlo’s core features — especially AI expense scanning, bank import, and invoicing. The funds will support product improvements, better user onboarding, and integrations small businesses need most. Most importantly, we’ll turn early customers into long-term partners by shaping the roadmap around their real-world use and insights.
