I tried several accounting systems over the past months and also the alternative on app sumo tabby. Fynlo already performs better on handling EUR but also there is the issue with the . and , when importing tables. Also, I contacted the support and they will add the future to the list that you can actually search through your transactions with the name and not just a transaction number which is not part of the deal yet. It has potential, but it's not fully there yet to replace an accounting software. Also recurring invoices don't properly work as a freelancer. It might be something that you want to look into but not as a capital gains company to do compliant accounting, especially it's not recommended if you are coming from the EU and have statements in euro. , and . will appear with added decimals so instead of showing 10,00€ it will show € 1.000

I like the accounting tool, not only does it help you record and monitor income and expenses, it also gives you the financial statements in the report. The budget feature, and the charts and visuals are also a plus. This is very handy.

A previous comment captures my thoughts on the product quite well - I wish there was more automation. Furthermore, the limitations of currencies is a problem for me as I am in Botswana and use BWP.

But I can't fault the UI/UX that this product offers. It works as advertised (for the functions that I can use) and I look forward to seeing it developed more and more. They're a bit of a new player in the market and I just hope their model is sustainable and they won't disappear. But I will place my trust in them to grow into a major force

*Update - BWP is being added so that makes this a 5 taco product for me!

I am in Canada and use Wave Accounting, which is a very powerful tool originally built for Canada, considering all the CRA regulations for businesses. As a legacy user, I get it fully for free except for a few features like the ability to remove their branding from invoices, saving outgoing messages if customized, and attaching files like contracts to invoices. I can work around these small inconveniences, but I always keep an eye out for similar products on Appsumo to get those additional options.

So, I saw Fynlo and thought it looked like a good deal, so I purchased Tier 2. However, I will not use the product until the developers implement automatic bank transaction importing with Plaid, which they say is on the roadmap.

Pros:
- Nice, clean UI that’s easy to understand and use
- Built-in Stripe, PayPal, and Checkout integration for online invoice payments
- Great invoice builder with several useful templates and online payment options
- Built-in full accounting
- Can be used in different countries with their currencies
- Well-done help section with many video manuals, and the support team seems very helpful

Cons:
- Cannot connect to banks or credit cards. Only manual bank account creation is available. You also can't create credit card accounts without attaching a bank account.
I have a bank account with many subaccounts and credit cards for business and personal use, all under the same login. I run two businesses linked to the same personal accounts and don’t want to add all that manually.

- No automatic bank transaction importing via Plaid like QuickBooks or Wave. Every business transaction must be entered manually, with receipts attached. My business transactions include digital subscriptions paid online monthly without invoices or receipts. I have multiple credit cards with business and personal expenses and don’t want to enter everything manually. This also includes bank and credit cards charges, interests, and personal transactions I want to account for, just like I do with Wave.

- While there is Stripe, PayPal, and Checkout integration for invoice payments, Fynlo doesn’t support EFT bank payments.

The lack of automation and auto-importing from banks or credit cards makes this platform unusable for me. I’m not interested in manually entering expenses, especially personal ones. I’m a one-man, two-business owner and need the full automation Wave offers, even for free.

Fynlo looks like a product with great potential, and I'm willing to give it time until the developers add Plaid for automatic bank and credit card connections, with transactions auto-imported and auto-categorized. If they do, I will update my review. But so far, because of the lack of automation, I cannot give a 4 or 5-star rating.
