Q: I like the tool, but it is frustrating that there is zero support.
I have never received a response from the contact email - dating right back to October 27th.
Here is the collection of my questions:
(1) When on a topic and I ask a question, the answer and the question do not seem to be retained. I expected they might be added to the content as relevant chapters because these are items of interest to me. But after asking 5 questions, and then checking the full syllabus, I could not track down any relationship between my questions and the sections of the syllabus. The system seems quite smart, but not smart enough to capture my specific interests and build them into the syllabus. How does this work?
(2) Related questions. They are all very useful but they also seem to be discarded each time a question is asked? I have taken to copying them to keep them as they are valuable, but am I missing something? Are these somehow built into the history and the final output?
(3) Daily Learning Bites. When I clicked for the email lessons to be sent I expected a flow which mostly followed the table of contents for the lesson. I have had the email sequences for 3 different subjects I was interested in, such as the evolution of Taylor Swift, and the Source of the Sunni Shia conflict.
However, the emails for each daily bite are basically all the same. They just say the same thing in different ways over and over again. They look as though the first email in the sequence has simply been given to ChatGPT each time with a "Rewrite" prompt.
This is disappointing as I thought the emails would flow through the lesson, which added new insights each time, and the sum of all the emails covered the topic as outlined in the dashboard for the topic. Is this how you intended the system to work, to be just a repetition of the topic each time? Or am I doing something wrong?
(4) And one question I had not previously sent to support - what is the meaning of Advanced Understanding?
Thanks.

May 14, 2024A: Hi Walter,
This is the first time I have seen communications from you, your email may have gotten caught in the spam filter - it's on our list to move to zendesk or something similar but I'd rather refrain from requiring people to raise tickets for as long as possible, we are getting lots of great feedback via emaol.
1. Any questions you ask yourself are not tied to the syllabus, though that is an interesting idea - though users click on suggested / ask many questions when learning a subject so it will probably become polluted. For now, the saved items feature is a great way to collate resources from anywhere, including questions you ask yourself.
2. Related questions are tied to a question, you will need to go back to that question to see others you did not select.
3. This was due to a bug in our daily learning bites script - we have addressed this, and now topics should be more accurate. That said, for some subjects the syllabus generated contains multiple topics that are very similar - so be sure to take this into account.
3. The "advanced understanding" is a new feature that has been added to our(also new) feature "understand". GAJIX asks the user 3 questions to help the user understand any given subject/topic.
a) What specific parts of this subject/topic are you finding most challenging?
b) Do you have any background knowledge of this subject/topic or any related subject/topic?
c) Do you want an example based on anything in particular. This can be something you already understand or are interested in?
GAJIX will then take this information into account and then helps the user understand. From our testing, for complex subjects/topic
~65% of the people that didn't understand a topic from the initial output understood after using the basic "understand" feature.
~90% of people that didn't understand a topic from the initial output understood after using the "advanced understand" feature.
We plan to write some blog posts / create some videos on this and all the other features we have added recently. GAJIX has changed a lot in the short few months since it was introduced to AppSumo!
Thank you

Thanks. My latest daily bites are still running and they don’t seem to be any better. I will check the similarity of the topics in the syllabus and perhaps that is the answer. Is there any technique to reduce the similarity in the way we describe the subject we wish to study?
Hi Walter,
The improvements were put into daily learning bites as of today. We are addressing a few niggles with the formatting though that might not be solved until after Xmas.
Thank you,

I just received a string of learning bites emails as if they had been stuck. These ones flow through the syllabus and are really good.
Hi Walter,
Good to hear that the updated version is good.
Yes sorry I thought it was a back log as well but it turns out it was actually retrying as a result of a scaling issue. I have fixed this so it doesn't send multiple in the future and hopefully solved the issue.
We will probably need to evolve the architecture early next year but it should be okay for now.
I will be fixing the format issue today as well.
Thank you,
