It has potential
As an avid learner, I like the potential this tool has, however it's impossible to deny there's still a lot of work to do.
A few notes about something I'd improve or change:
- The daily email switch, for whatever reason it doesn't save it, so even if i turn it on, it switches off automatically, so that feature doesn't work for me.
- Switching between chapters/subchapters shows the content to update like it's being written on the go every time. I would like to be able to see the whole content of the page without seeing the text appearing in front of my eyes every time.
- At the beginning of each subchapter there's still a paragraph that defines the overall topic i'm studying. So, to make a concrete example, I'm studying SCRUM, and the definition of what SCRUM is appears at the top of every single subchapter, which is redundant. I understand that this is likely to be the effect of querying GPT with "topic+ define this thing" which would return everything, but it would look cleaner if the model could be adjusted to exclude that early definition in the call. It would make the experience more seamless.
- Possibility to export the full syllabus in a more digestable format that I can carry easily with me, i.e. ePUB/PDF.
- I don't know if this is currently offered, it might be, but if not - for the future it would be nice to have integration with graphs/images where appropriate. Is this on the roadmap? I'm thinking this is a necessity for showing more intuitively correlations especially when learning technical/scientific subjects.
Overall I hope that the devs are going to make this tool grow because I love the idea and takes out some of the manual elements of having to do it on your own with ChatGPT.
