You don't need to use 2 policy packs for each environment, though even if you wanted to, we have pack duplication to make setup faster and you can delete the staging pack to regain the credit when you no longer need it.

We don't place limits on how many times you install each banner so you can use the same embed for your staging and production environment. However, the scanner uses the URL to find your cookies.

With that in mind:

if you're running 2 environments simultaneously, you would use the prod URL in our app and run a scan when you send an update to production (or it will happen automatically each month)

If you're launching a new website with no production environment. You can use the staging URL for the policy pack, then reach out to us when you go live and I'll update it the same day.

We are working on making this more seamless, but in the meantime, we've simply made sure to minimize any unnecessary limits we place on our customers.
