I absolutely love GoBrunch 😊 My usecase is a fun meeting space for my community's monthly meetups, and I used it for two recorded courses, but that didn't go well (will explain more below). The concept is great, it's easy to use, the permissions features are granular, and branding options and customization are amazing. The concept itself is really fresh and fun, and makes me feel like I'm actually meeting with my community members, rather than get "Zoom fatigue" from another video meet with big boxes. ❤️

There are a few big issues for me though:
- Latency and freezing audio and video are an issue in sessions. Myself and attendees get dropped from rooms sometimes

- Using a locked room is not a fun experience. I love the knocking sound and notification, but if you miss the device dialogue box that pops up in your system tray (PC) to let an attendee in a room, it's gone forever until they try again, for some reason. I seriously cannot find an "admit" button in the actual GoBrunch meeting room itself; it just shows a message someone is trying to get in in the chat. Really annoying. I switched it to public or use an access code as a workaround. They need to add a clear, *on screen* button that admits people to the room if using the approval workflow, not just the system alert

- For scheduled GoBrunch rooms, you can't edit details about a meeting if it's too close to start time, or already started, so I only use the perpetual meeting room, just in case

- Recording quality and ease of use is terrible; the dialogue box that pops in Chrome for permissions won't got away, and since it's embedded in the Chrome UI, it warps the aspect ratio of the recording, so it makes my head look like a hotdog 😂 If you do record, there's isn't a clean, easy way to keep your aspect ratio and present things like slides or share your screen. It will mess up the recording beyond saving, again, because it warps the aspect ratio and squishes everything. So, I can't use this for classes or recording like I'd planned and tried. I have to redo the live classes with attendees that I've already recorded in another video meeting solution, because GoBrunch's recordings are unusable

- Trying to use the screenshare function in Chrome will mess up your session, so don't plan on using the screenshare function with GoBrunch. It will put in a permissions dialogue box that will persist until you close the tab or window, even if you stop screensharing. It's really annoying, and removes visible space/warps the aspect ratio of the GoBrunch room

They are a MVP for sure, but I hope they fix these issues! Again, concept, ease of use for the most part, and customization are fantastic. Fresh concept I haven't seen anywhere else. But my user experience has has some challenges.

I loved gobrunch. But it misses a really easy, yet profound feature: Meeting participants cannot react with emojis to posts in the chat. Therefore, my community is not using it at all, and we went back to Zoom. If that feature ever came. I would love to come back..

There are times the site works great, and there are all kinds of bugs as well. The concept it unique enough that you want to work around the limitations, but taking 20+ minutes for a room to load is inexplicable and unacceptable. I'm sitting on a 300mb connection, and all other sites in my browser load fine, but GoBrunch appears to have oversold their unlimited access and refuses to upgrade their servers - resulting in unacceptable results for business purposes.

if you find a time of day that nobody is online, maybe this will work for you. I had high hopes, but completely disappointed. The fact that literally nobody ever responds to a trouble ticket should give you an indication of where this company is heading as well as its users. Expect a slow painful death of service until one day it just no longer operates.

In a way, I feel bad writing this because one of the developers, Richard, spent about an hour helping me get everything set up after I purchased the product. He is very kind.
I was already put off by how dated the platform looked, but I assumed that, as the company grew and received more funding, they would steadily improve it.

Unfortunately, six months later, they're still selling the product on AppSumo, yet NOTHING seems to have changed. Their public roadmap seems that it hasn't been updated for months, which doesn't inspire much confidence. Even the roadmap itself feels poorly organized:

Some of the biggest issues I encountered are:

- Creating a "space" page is surprisingly confusing. The different page types are poorly named, and it's not clear how they differ from one another.
- Setting up a paywall is far from intuitive, and linking a community to your event is equally confusing.
- The product is advertised as a white-label solution, yet the GoBrunch branding still appears in several places. I have a group of spaces linked to my domain name. When I try to visit the link, I see the Gobrunch logo for example.
- It is SO SLOW. Oh my God... 2006 internet slow...
- There's a bug that has existed for months where clicking on a room from the admin panel simply makes the page blink without letting me enter it.
- Customizing the space is unnecessarily tedious and frustrating.

-The one feature that genuinely sets GoBrunch apart is the ability to fully customize the environment with your own backgrounds. Unfortunately, the built-in AI image generator is extremely outdated as it feels like using one of the first image generation models from four years ago. laughable results. I ended up using ChatGPT to create my backgrounds instead, but getting the correct dimensions requires additional work.
- The chat interface is extremely limited and feels like software designed in the 2000s...
- The mobile experience is nonexistent. In my experience, you can't even log into the platform properly from a phone.

Overall, GoBrunch has a genuinely unique concept and a few standout ideas, but the execution has fallen behind. It feels as though development has slowed dramatically, while the product continues to be marketed as if it were actively evolving. For a platform that still positions itself as a modern solution, I expected much more progress over the past six months. Usually I never give only 1 star, because there is always worse. But no, the lack of communication with the clients and the lack of desire to evolve the product even after having made a bunch of money is unacceptable. I feel like I've been ripped off. I can't use this product at all.

GoBrunch has completely changed the way I interact with my clients online. As a conflict mediator and consultant in the legal and criminal justice fields, maintaining a genuine human connection is essential to my work. Most virtual platforms feel impersonal, but GoBrunch creates an environment that is engaging, interactive, and much closer to a real-life experience.

The platform is intuitive, flexible, and continuously improving. I appreciate the creative room design, customization options, and the ability to create spaces that feel welcoming and professional at the same time. My clients respond positively to the experience, and it helps foster meaningful communication that is often lost in traditional video conferencing tools.
The support team is also excellent, and it's clear that the founders are passionate about innovation and user success.

If you're looking for a platform that goes beyond standard virtual meetings and helps create authentic human interactions, I highly recommend GoBrunch.
