Came from Sessions and feeling let down with GoBrunch but somewhat hopeful they can change...

First off, platforms like Sessions, Zoom, and Vivo Meet are more "traditional" online meeting spaces. While they may look a bit boring, their functionality is miles ahead of GoBrunch, and I can't help but feel like I'm compromising by using GoBrunch.

All of these other apps offer simple, intuitive UIs and tools that anyone—from young to old—can easily understand and use 99% of the time without a problem.

GoBrunch, unfortunately, falls short of that "intuitive, easy, and smooth" experience I had, especially with Sessions. The UI on GoBrunch feels a bit clunky, and I constantly find myself having to teach and explain to my groups how to use the interface and navigate the "rooms." This isn't immersive or engaging for my audience—it’s frustrating, and it consistently eats up 5-10 minutes of my two-hour calls. As a solopreneur with no assistant, this is a persistent issue and reflects some deeper underlying problems with the platform.

Another concern is the limited and underdeveloped admin controls. For example, I conduct a lot of 1-on-1 meetings, but I can't lock some people out of a room while allowing others in. I either have to let everyone in or keep the room closed entirely. That’s extremely restrictive.

Another example: If I kick someone out of a room, the ban is permanent. So if a client joins early, and I remove them because I’m on another call and they can't hear me asking them to leave, the only option is to ban them permanently? That’s not going to work for me.

Even though Sessions failed as a business (most likely), I would highly recommend the GoBrunch developers take a good hard look at what made Sessions so great: its clean and easy-to-use interface, integrated features, and quality-of-life improvements that made it such a powerful app. I believe incorporating some of these aspects into GoBrunch would bridge the gap and create a far more compelling platform.

Here’s a list of features I’m really missing from Sessions and hope to see added to GoBrunch:

- Synchronized viewing styles across connected clients

- Clean chat font/interface

- Accessible and easy-to-use admin controls

- Built-in polls/Q&As

- Transcriptions with timestamps/formatting (even if it costs extra to make it financially sustainable)

- Better support for 1-on-1 meetings, e.g., bigger circles in the editor

- Memory storage for chat, polls, Q&A, and takeaways in a convenient, easy-to-access location

- Easy single-session, custom-linked meetings - the foundation is already there

- Significant integration support and a user-friendly, intuitive way to interact with these integrations so I don’t have to constantly ask, “What room view mode are you in?” or something similar.

While GoBrunch is interesting, and I understand what they’re trying to do, moving here from Sessions feels like a step backward—especially for my 1-on-1s and high-ticket group sessions.

I know development is challenging, and like I said, Sessions ultimately failed. But if GoBrunch could combine its strengths with Sessions’ best features, it could become the dream event app nobody saw coming.

As a solopreneur, efficiency and optimization are crucial for me. With that said, unless some significant changes are made, I don’t know if I can continue using GoBrunch. Sadly, I’ll likely be looking for alternatives.
