Q: Visitor Limit & Pixel Tracking Clarification
Hello,
I’m following up on my previous question, as it hasn’t received a response yet.
Could you please clarify:
Is the plan limit calculated based on:
– Unique users (deduplicated), or
– Total sessions (where the same user can generate multiple sessions)?
If it is session-based, how do you define a session (for example, inactivity timeout)?
If the pixel is installed site-wide, does all traffic across the domain count toward the limit, or only traffic on selected pages?
Thank you for your clarification.
Best regards,
Gustavo Gonzalez

Thank you for your follow-up — and apologies for the delay. I’m happy to clarify this properly.
First, Is the plan limit based on unique users or sessions?
The limit is based on total tracked sessions, not unique users.
This means:
• If the same person visits multiple times, those can count as multiple sessions
• It is not deduplicated at the user level
• It is not based on pageviews
Second, How is a session defined?
A session begins when the Growify PowerPixel loads and records a visit.
While we don’t publicly define a strict inactivity timeout like GA4, sessions are separated based on new visit instances (for example, returning later or after inactivity). Practically speaking, you can think of it as visit-based tracking rather than user-based tracking.
Third, If the pixel is installed site-wide, what counts?
If the PowerPixel is installed across your entire domain (recommended best practice), then all traffic to pages where the pixel loads counts toward your limit.
If it’s installed only on selected pages, then only sessions on those specific pages will be counted.
