Yes, the post type options can be expanded.

All available WordPress post types, including custom post types such as Portfolio, should appear in the Post Types filter under:

WP Admin -> GSpeech -> Settings -> Post Types

There is also a category filter, so you can control where GSpeech is enabled more precisely.

Alternatively, you can use the GSpeech shortcode to place the player manually on specific pages or content areas.
