Q: Intrigued
So, I've purchased at least two other TTS apps from Appsumo, and got burned on both of them. Likely due to them offering the good voices, not the semi robotic ones. And they couldn't market their app after the Appsumo deal to get residual income.
So I checked out the Appsumo version of your site. At the top of the page there is a 50/50 split box, the left side with the player where you can change the voice for that. That one has a few realistic sounding voices. The right side has the drop down with the generate button. Those voices aren't very appealing. Which side, or both, is the selection available on this deal?

Edited Mar 22, 2025A: Hello,
Thanks for reaching out and sharing your experience! I totally get your hesitation after being let down by other TTS apps on AppSumo — it’s smart to dig into the details before jumping in.
To answer your question: the voices included in this AppSumo deal are the ones listed in the dropdown menu on the right side of the TTS generator page (in desktop view) when you visit:

The player on the left side, where you can preview and switch voices, showcases our full collection of available voices — but the specific voices tied to this deal are limited to those on the right.
Offering lifetime access to AI voices is a tricky balance for us. Each voice comes with ongoing costs, and some of the premium ones have significantly higher expenses. Including those in a lifetime deal would’ve meant raising the price considerably, which we didn’t want to do. Instead, we’ve carefully selected a robust set of high-quality, cost-effective AI voices — trained on massive datasets — that deliver nice results across a variety of use cases. Plus, you can tweak each voice with speed and pitch adjustments to create more unique outputs tailored to your needs.
These models strike the perfect balance: great quality to keep you happy, affordable enough to sustain the lifetime deal, and designed to support our users for the long term. We’re committed to delivering the promised quota without any surprises down the line.
Hope that clears things up! If you have more questions, feel free to let me know — I’m happy to assist.
### UPDATE:
We’ve made an important decision: all tiers which have AI montly quota, will now have access to our advanced AI voices.
To make this possible, we’re introducing a credit-based system. The number of characters you can generate will depend on the selected TTS model.
Standard AI voices will give you more characters, while ultra-realistic voices (which are more costly to process) will use more credits per character — meaning you’ll be able to generate fewer characters, but with much higher quality.
This way, you’ll have full flexibility to choose the voice style that best fits your project.
This update will be integrated shortly.
Thanks! :)

I appreciate the clarity. I may just take a stab at using Bind.Ai to assist in developing a WordPress plugin for doing speech for paragraphs of text. Certainly won't be anything near your quality. But I do have a thought, if possible to cut the costs on theOpenAI api hits.
If I don't finish it fast enough I will have to take another look at GSpeech, still those voices on the right were uninspiring

In either case, I wish you well in your venture!

Can you give us the ability to bring our own API key to use unlimited credits, or are you actually generating all of this on your own server-side? For example if you're using Microsoft or Google voices, I could buy my own key and enable the key on your website, and only allow those voices on my website for my users to select. That's a win-win for you folks if you can develop this!

We use various TTS models on our cloud infrastructure, and we don’t support using your own API key. Our system handles everything, including storage, translation, and delivery costs, which are charged per play button click based on file size.

Great Idea. Where can i see how much the better Voices cost? And i only pay onetime for the first transcript right? Not everytime an audio file is used by a user.
