I bought Hedy AI on AppSumo on a whim, and it quickly turned into a daily companion in meetings and conferences, which is not something I say lightly after two decades of sitting in rooms where talk is cheap and attention is expensive.

What impressed me immediately is how Hedy has matured over the past months, with the 2026 generation adding automatic, context-aware suggestions that feel less like prompts and more like a sharp colleague nudging you at the right moment. The note-taking and real-time insights are genuinely strong, especially when session context is set properly, and the integration across platforms makes it easy to forget it is even running until it saves you from missing a key thread.

Support has been responsive and transparent, and the pace of updates signals a team that listens and ships, not one that hides behind roadmaps. That said, search across past sessions still feels underpowered, and I have seen occasional transcription slips in noisy environments, which can matter in high-stakes conversations. None of this undermines the core value, but buyers should be aware that this is a living product, not a finished monument.

Wow I can’t believe Hedy is back. This is probably the only tool I actually use. In fact I refuse to use other AI meeting recoding tools because I prefer this tool on my device. It feels more privacy focused than other tools and it’s an outstanding tool. I love Hedy!

I think this is my second review ever.
Great to see this back on APPSumo.

Team is always building, communicating, taking feedback, implementing feedback, validating, iterating, improving.

Has saved me lots of times during meetings, reminders etc on past meeting actions and discussions, chat with specific meeting content, mark key meeting moments, hold incompetent colleagues to account.

I can’t even remember what my kids and wife told me 3 mins ago. Maybe I should Hedy my whole life and turn it into a book!

Simply put, it's been a joy to use, and an even greater joy and to see it grow and mature.

I initially bought it on a whim — I took a chance and was ready to count it as a loss.
Boy, was I wrong.

It's clear that this team *cares*.
And not only cares, but cares about the right things.

Hedy has grown at a tremendous pace, and things haven't slowed down. Quite the contrary, in fact.

Add to that the focus on privacy and European compliance, which is pretty unique AFAIK.

Add to that the webhooks that allow you to integrate Hedy meet you where you are and adapt to the way you work, not the other way around (including complex workflows with Zapier, N8N, etc.)

Add to that the different folders for specialized contexts/knowledge.

Add to that fact the fact that it augments your capabilities in real time with contextual nudges/questions/etc.

You see were I'm going with this. The team has a unique perspective, and it shows. This is no mere transcription copycat; it's in its own category.

So, to the naysayers:
- Yes, the output could still become even better (it's already very good).
- Yes, UX could be improved even more (it's already very decent). [btw Julian hit me up if you want a hand]
- Yes, you missed the best price. That's the game, get over it.

Here's the thing though: I'm 100% confident those things will continue improving, as everything else has.
And I'm glad the price is higher than it was last time: it's still an incredible bargain, and I want to see them succeed and be around for a long time! 🙌 🎉
