Just been in the platform and it seems fairly user friendly. I’ve been able to get started and it seems to have everything you’d need.

What does look better than other platforms is the analytics dashboard to keep track of Clients progress.

Looks a great deal for the price.

I've built and run courses in two other platforms that could never do what I needed them to. I am beyond happy to be working in Heights now.

This is the 1st review I’ve ever written, and it is with great joy and honor that I do.

Out of ALL the Appsumo deals I have purchased, I have never:

* loved a deal as much as I love this one. Ever.
* received such wonderful customer service.
* interacted with such a down-to-Earth, super-professional CEO who has been the one who has answered most of my questions personally. Other questions have been answered by his very competent staff.

There is the school of thought that says that if your main business is to sell courses that you should keep your courses on your own WP site. But look around. Who are your favorite entrepreneurs? They’re on major LMS platforms, aren’t they? And they often are affiliates for those services, right?

If the thought of using an LMS has intimidated you… get Heights Platform. It’s very intuitive. So intuitive that your mind will sigh. And you’ll sleep easier at night knowing that you’ll be able to move forward sooner and with greater ease than you have thus far.

I am new to e-learning platforms for business reasons, but have spent time with more complicated models in the past like D2L and other giant e-learning systems.

For someone like me, who just wants to build a few simple courses as a one person team, Heights is a great deal. I'm looking forward to the roadmap, and so far the support has been a good experience for me, and the team is responsive. Good job!

Easy to use and great support!

If you want to sell online courses, or use them as lead generators, this is the deal for you. The platform is very intuitive and easy to use. Set up is quick and you can be up and running within a short time. Plenty of options for content. You can set up on your custom domain and run a business or side hustle directly from the platform. Also, you have the ability to sell or upsell digital products. Customer service has been extremely responsive and helpful on a couple of small issues setting up the custom domain and integrating another AppSumo deal (Swarmify). If you offer online courses, or even think you might want to in the future, don't delay in grabbing this deal now!

Here's our story. We run a podcast and people have begging us to do a course. So, we started looking into putting one together. We researched all the available platforms and decided on the best one we could use with "most" of the features we wanted. Not happy with the sacrifices we had to make, and not happy with the limits. What we really didn't want to do was have to switch later and learn yet another platform.
Setting up the course in the other platform was a nightmare. We couldn't see how it looked, the builder was not intuitive, we couldn't combine things, it was awful. Luckily we were only in a trial.

Then we heard about Heights.
Okay, no kidding we did our homework before getting this. As I said, we don't have to switch later on to learn a new platform. We spent 4 hours researching everything to get all the pros and cons. There's a couple of cons we can live with. Eh, the landing page could use some work. We would like to see an upgrade option to a higher course option and not just a digital product. Can't wait for the module section to roll out so we can break the courses down into smaller chunks. The course duplication will be a godsend when it comes out since we want to just add to the courses we are already building.

Anyway.

What took us over a month to do in the other "more popular" platform, took us mere minutes to do on Heights. And that month of work on that other "thing" called an LMS, we didn't even finish because of the limitations and complexities. From scratch and no copy and pasting, we got our entire course laid out. I was taken aback by how simple it was. Being able to see how the course looks to the client without completely exiting is awsome. Being able to mix things up adds so much value to the course for the person laying out their hard-earned cash. We wanted to build honest value and the other platform simply limited us to some cookie-cutter looking thing that made it feel cheap. Not here, not Heights. Other LMS's are going to be trying to copy what the Sumo team has built here.

This has nearly everything we were looking for in a course creator and more, even with the cons I mentioned. We could not be more pleased to grow with Heights and the Sumo team on this.
If you are looking anywhere else, trust me, you are wasting your time and possibly lots of money.
I believe we have found a course home. No need to go anywhere else for a very long time.

Just sold my first course on the Heights platform after putting my 66 lessons in there yesterday. I love that I'm able to see what lessons my students will rewatch, bookmark, comment on, etc. I can't wait for some of the promised updates like modules and the ability to send emails or clone lessons but right now it's working and I can offer value to my students. I'm not using landing pages, payment checkout pages, discussion forums, digital products, and projects and still love the value it offers with the ease of the mentor/student view, the outline creator and the ability to combine video with questions. AND the amazing quick responses of team Heights have been mentioned over and over again and is indeed a pleasure to experience!

Thank you very much Bryan for bringing Heights Platform to APPSUMO. I just love Heights for the ease of use. It’s not really complicated to maneuver inside the platform. And the customer support is awesome.

I am reading a lot of negative reviews here right now…...BUT I totally give Heights 5 Tacos simply because it’s just right for the simple course platform that I am building.

Every one of us here on APPSUMO has our nerdy side of things to justify our own honest opinion. I just hope that if you gave less than 5 tacos, you have truly used your nerdy side to completely use the product you are reviewing. Often times I see reviews under a few hours of release of Applications, and I am wondering…..did he or she really use the platform?

I believe Heights is going to be around for a long time due to its simplicity and awesome customer support. It will continue to be the alternative alligator choice from the other godzilla educational platforms.

Let's get the cons out of the way first. I completely agree with JockBrocas in his con list. It's the exact same for me. I have one company but it offers training in a couple of verticals, and Heights Platform can't currently handle this. It wouldn't make sense to put all 20 Excel courses here along with Marketing, Programming, and other courses.

First, because Height's doesn't use the traditional model where you can buy access to classes one-by-one or pay a fee to get access to the whole thing. Can you sell one-by-one? Yes. Can you sell access to the overall program and offer upgrades? Yes. But can you run a school where people can either buy piecemeal what they want or subscribe to the whole thing? No.

Heights is for someone focused on one field, discipline, or topic. It's for the masterclass operator, or the [INSERT FIELD HERE] guy or gal (if that makes sense). It's not for a school. So, yes, many Sumolings can probably leave Teachable, Thinkific, Invanto, and others for Heights Platform... if you run a whole school or academy, or if you target disparate verticals... you can't.

So why 5 tacos‽

Because, if you are running a couple of classes or a masterclass style program, this platform is amazing with a LTD. Bryan and his team are amazing, first of all, and they've built a tool they truly believe in. Not just "believe will make money" but they believe in the social good that will come from making this product. Bryan and I have had some lengthy emails about the future of online education and training, what distinguishes schools from programs, and even how emerging technologies are continuing to shape the field.

We've had these conversations while they've been overwhelmed with thousands of new Sumoling customers, and yet they haven't missed a beat.

Am I super sad that the one killer app I'm looking for to avoid Thinkific or Teachable for running an entire school or academy isn't to be found in Heights Platform? Yeah... really bummed. But, honestly, I know if Bryan and his team could snap their fingers and make that work overnight while still holding to their own values on education, they would. I won't hold my breath waiting for it to happen, but in the mean time, I am able to deploy this tool for another properly or for my trainings created for and offered to specific corporate clients (thanks to the Heights team for adding in student roles to make this possible!).

If you have a couple of online classes, have a masterclass, or need to get people around you or your brand regarding one deeply entrenched vertical, you can't pass on this software.

As for me, I'll get a couple of codes and put Heights Platform in a support role in my overall stack with CoAssemble for internal training within my team, Udemy/Skillshare/etc. for marketplace sales of high-volume low-margin courses, and another solution to run my own online school with multiple verticals.

Thaaaaannnk you Bryan!! I love this software and the ease of use and set up is awesome. (I am not a Wordpress guy so this is the membership platform for me.) Customer support is great, the roadmap looks great and restructuring the deal to include more active users after launch was incredibly gracious on part of the creator. Almost anything you can't do can be manipulated with Zapier... For these reasons and more an easy 5 tacos. Thanks, Appsumo and Heights.

I bought a couple of codes and have been playing around with heights platform. I love the direction the team are taking it in and the support has been phenomenal! I've had so many questions, Bryan must be sick of seeing my name in his inbox! Haha! So excited about the upcoming changes and to get my course launched on heights platform!

1. If Free,
a) Make people join for free
b) I can sell paid course separately, just 1 time price
c) I can’t sell bundle course, nor subscription any more.

Solution) If I set school free, I can’t make any payment differentiations like subscription.
This sould be solved.

2. If Paid
a) Only provided Paypal and Stripe, not manual payment.
If I don’t enable Paypal nor Stripe, students enrollment not allowed

b) In this case, registration form is burden!!
If someone fills in the form to register, he would got “No enrollment allowed” message.
And that’s all, he would be BLOCKED!!
He can’t see any other pages, just blocked to registration page. He can’t even log out,

Solution) You have to provide manual payment for zapier integration.
In that case, default school registration form must be disabled and provide link to my own sales page outside. (I can/must make myself.)

c) “Join Program” button in course preview page can be linked to sales page outside.

4. Lesson Type
Provides just one selective lesson type now.

Many course author might want to provide hybrid lesson.
Like video and texts, lesson material downloads for that lesson.

But we have to provide separately now.
We have lesson material (PDF or sample Text files) with separate lesson.

I don’t understand why I’m doing this kinds of test work.
If I don’t like this product, I just can refund and go away without saying nothing.

But I might still believe the Heights Platform’s possibilities.

P.S. It is good to embed domain-restricted vimeo videos with sub-domain.
And I’ve tested integration with Swarmify and this is good too.
But I can’t control the restriction once CDN delivered.
I mean, someone can steal(embed to their website without any restriction) my lesson video, once delivered with CDN.

Okay, I'm going to keep it 1000% real with you right now.

How many of you made over $1,000 in sales building and selling online courses last year? I certainly have not. And one of the things I was doing was paying $99 a month to teachable thinking that that was the best option for me because of all the flashy things that it came with.

After much research, I decided to take the leap and I'm glad I did. The Heights platform is good right out of the box to get you started. I can sit here and talk to you about how the design needs a little bit of work but let's be real, the real reason why people buy your courses is because of the content.

So if you're just getting started, this is a steal of a deal because it allows you to build unlimited courses and test the waters so that you can start getting to $1,000 a month and hopefully grow along with this platform as new developments come in.

If you don't get this deal, you're probably throwing away money as I did. I know there's a lot of other great software and platforms out there but this one is great for those getting started and wanting to save a lot of money at the same time.

I've emailed Brian back and forth over a lot of my questions about switching from Thinkific to Heights Platform. First, let me just say that the customer service is exceptional. I haven't waited long at all to get a response and I wasn't even a customer yet. I was simply asking a lot of specific questions about my use case and how Heights Platform would be able to accommodate.

I'm not really a big fan of having multiple programs, but many courses. That being said, I do see the logic in how Heights handles this. I've purchased and stacked all my codes because I think with the future enhancements down the road I can run my courses in my preferred method, but greatly appreciate the ability to break out a code into its own program if I am wrong (which let's admit - sometimes our vision needs adjustments!).

I'm just at the start of making adjustments to my classess and transferring them to Heights. So far, things are easy to understand. That is a plus since I am not a very technical person.

There are a lot of enhancements coming down the pipeline, and I think it is a program worth investing in. Brian has proven his commitment to customer service, and I am happy to take advantage of this offer. I think you should too.

Imagine buying all 10 codes and having the ability to adjust if needed. You have a 1 time purchase fee and that will save you each year. Even if you need enhancements down the line, I think it is worth the jump. This program is going to grow with me and vice versa. Get the codes.

This is solid and well-built software with a great team behind it. Read their answers to understand a bit about their vision and direction.

Are you looking for a typical LMS with quizzes and tests? This might not be for you.

Are you looking for a well-made and nearly turn-key solution that will let you share your knowledge and skills with students, help you encourage them along, and focus on successful outcomes demonstrated through projects...oh yeah, and you want it to include lots of options for you to get paid? Then you should grab this deal!!

Of course there are a few things I'd like them to add or change. Bryan and his team have listened and they've already rolled out some changes in response to good sumoling feedback. I'm really excited about where this is going and I have no doubt: This deal is a great buy!

Also, honestly the team alone is worth at least 7 tacos.

To me, this is a no-brainier even if you maxed out on Coassemble (like I did). I'm using Coassemble to build courses to be used in my organization. (fits better with the user limits) And I'm using the Heights platform to build courses to sell externally. Really seems like the whole package, including billing and generous user limits. The UI is a bit dated, but not awful. The support team is spot on and based on my Trello notifications, they are rocking and rolling on their roadmap. I'm excited for this one.

Does Heights have the capability of adding quiz or questionnaire after the lesson or course is completed? If not, it is not fit for us. A course platform should give mentors the way to know how their courses reached their students.
And badge system is awkward. Just by clicking the 'Complete lesson' button, one can earn a badge?
Need more features to fit for the real world course structures.

I'm just diving into the world of courses and digital downloads and have been looking into all of the other options out there that had the functionality I was after, at a price I could afford...then along came Heights!

Seriously excited at the potential to run a membership site or free hub, with separate individual courses as well as digital downloads. Having a forum baked in is fantastic and the ease of use is brilliant. Even so I have had a couple of questions and the response was super quick and provided the answers I was looking for.

I'm really excited by what the platform could do for me and my audience as well as the potential for the future - the promise of a public blog and other planned upgrades means I bought an extra couple of codes "just in case" for future projects.

Knowing that I can stack these or split them up again at a later date made it more than worth the risk. The only challenge now is to make something that is worth other people buying!
