Is it still worth getting this plugin? Will there be conflicts & problems? Would this add to my Sucuri Security experience? Or not required to buy? Would like to have both working at the same time for ultimate security if they both play nicely together.
Hide My WP Ghost will complement Sucuri by offering an extra layer of protection that the other doesn’t offer:
With Hide My WP Ghost you prevent attacks from happening, by hiding vulnerabilities in themes, WP core and plugins.
Hackers and hacker bots can’t attack what they can’t find.
It does a bit more, as you will see on the Features list: https://hidemywpghost.com/hide-my-wp-ghost-security-features/
This offers an extra layer of protection that you don’t get from other plugins, because those focus on helping you while you are attacked and after you were attacked, by cleaning files, detecting malware, injections etc.
With Hide My WP Ghost, you can avoid getting injections in the first place.
Even if both plugins are considered WordPress Security plugins, Sucuri Security and Hide My WP Ghost work together to add TWO DIFFERENT KINDS of security layers on your websites by stopping the hackers’ attacks and preventing data loss.

Q: Hi,
Interested to buy 3 codes but support only available for 1 year?
Whats the cost after that or is the support included in this lifetime deal? This work with a normal shared cpanel server? How about if using like those saas wordpress software like wp-ultimo does this work?
A: Hey, Sumo-ling! Thank you for your interest in Hide My WP Ghost.
On AppSumo, access is for Lifetime (and support IS included in this lifetime deal, whether you get 1, 2, or 3 codes). The only way to lose access is if you refund.
Yes, this works with cpanel server.

For Apache, it's all good.
We haven't tested wp-ultimo just yet. However, we've tested Hide My WP Ghost with over 1.000 plugins and themes, and we're always adding more to the list. Compatibility issues are unlikely, especially if you use Safe mode from Hide My WP Ghost.
Hey, Sumo-ling! Nice to see you back on our deal page.
Once you’ve customized the wp-login path, it’s important to make sure that other plugins have NOT also customized this path. Hide My WP Ghost automatically checks for this and if it identifies a different path for wp-login, you will see a notification letting you know there’s already a customization in place for the wp-login path.
However, be mindful of the fact that there may be situations when you’ve customized the wp-login path using Hide My WP Ghost and then installed a different plugin that also customizes this path. If that plugin doesn’t have a similar check in place (like Hide My WP Ghost has), you can end up performing multiple customizations to the wp-login path which can lead to conflicts.
Q: Would any component of this help to reduce form spam submissions?

What, if I can't login (imagine I forgot the path or password etc.) how can I login? Do you have a secret link? Or will it be enough to deactivate your plugin via FTP?
A: Hey, Sumo-ling! We appreciate your interest in Hide My WP Ghost.
Yes, all settings are reversible. When you Deactivate the plugin, then all settings will revert and when you delete the plugin, it will be like it was never there in the first place. Your site will be returned to its exact state before Hide My WP Ghost was installed.
When activating either Safe Mode or Ghost mode, you will be asked to perform a test (enables you to check website functionality from a preview popup). If you notice any issues at this point, you can abort.
You will also receive a SAFE URL. You can simply copy the safe URL to be able to login if there is a compatibility issue.

Q: I see many questions posted after my question have been answered, but mine is still held in moderation.
I don't believe I said or asked anything that is problematic. Here it is again in case it was missed:
Hello HMWP Ghost team, I bought 3 codes a couple of days ago and I am loving your plugin so far. I count just over 100 little features, switches or inputs which give us great control over configuration to make sure the site is as protected as possible while avoiding conflicts... this is a fantastic plugin. While there may be alternatives out there with some of the same features (perhaps even free), you plugin provides a very comprehensive feature set, all under one roof with a great UI/UX to make life very easy for just a couple of hundred bucks... thank you.
Oops, sorry, what I have written so far probably should have been in the review section. Now for my question: Where is the Events Log stored? I see your KB indicates "Data will be saved in your Cloud account for 30 Days..." so I believe there will always be a 30-day version of the logs on your server, which is awesome. Is the version shown in the plugin on our site another copy of it in our database? If so, I don't see any options for controlling how long the logs are kept for or deleting old logs. Is this available anywhere since this can grow to be a very large table in our database. Any guidance on this topic will be appreciated.
Hey, Sumo-ling! I apologize for taking a bit longer to get to your question. Please see my answer posted in the original question here: https://appsumo.com/products/hide-my-wp-ghost/#q704605
Thank you so much for your patience and sorry for any inconvenience.
Thank you Irina, I got the response to my original question... I appreciate it.

Q: I saw that the roadmap says that the compability with EWWW and SWIS Perfomance is possible.
But in my tests, everything that is mirrored to the CDN still contains the original paths (even after using Ghost mode). As EWWW and SWIS Perfomance is a popular plugin on AppSumo. Will this be fixed?
A: Hey, Sumo-ling! Thank you so much for your interest in Hide My WP Ghost.
After doing a quick research, I saw that there are several features that Hide My WP Ghost and clearfy both offer like: enabling you to hide the login page and giving you the ability to hide your wordpress footprint (not exactly sure HOW clearfy does this, as I haven't got the chance to test it).
Another thing that I noticed is that the tool you mentioned has a lot of coming soon features that Hide My WP Ghost already offers, like:
- set a limit of login attempts - block ip address to control upcoming traffic - security recommendations allowing you to protect your website from attacks.
Hope this helps, but let me know if you have any other questions.
I've had a look at the plugin you mentioned and there isn't a lot of overlap between the two plugins.
They have many features for other purposes and it looks like a good and interesting plugin. However, it does so little to Hide WordPress and the common paths that hacker bots use.
The only thing related in their offer is: "WORDPRESS DEFENSE Hide Author’s Login — complicates the hacking process. It’s more difficult to find out your login for hacker. Hide WordPress Login Error Messages — the attacker does not understand what he entered incorrectly, login or password. Disable XML-RPC — disable pingbacks and trackbacks. Disable X-Pingback Link — removes the link and the ability to spam with pingbacks."
This is very basic, even if we compare to the 2016 version that we had for Hide My WP Ghost. Also, it's not enough for the purpose of hiding vulnerabilities in WP.
There's a short video where I go over setting up defense for a site: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVd56w0ZJeM
^^ I'm using just the basic settings there and you can see that even in the basic mode, Hide My WP Ghost adds very different layers of protection.

Hi,
It's great to see you again!
I've had a look at the plugin you mentioned and there isn't a lot of overlap between the two plugins.
They have many features for other purposes and it looks like a good and interesting plugin. However, it does so little to Hide WordPress and the common paths that hacker bots use.
The only thing related in their offer is:
"WORDPRESS DEFENSE
Hide Author’s Login — complicates the hacking process.
