Q: Well, I purchased this because I want to use obscurity for security...

but it does not hide the Elementor version and even not the Cookie Complianz version. What a delusion! It is crucial these days to hide your Elementor version because all the bots scraping your site just check for version numbers to use any kind of reported vulnerability. I am in "Ghost mode", the highest mode in the plugin, but still all is visible! Wordpress version I can hide by myself with no problem, just 5 lines of code in function.php...

Is this really not possible?!

With wappalyzer checked:
WordPress plugins
RankMath SEO
Elementor
3.17.1
Complianz
6.5.5

A: Hey there, Sumo-ling! Thank you for your question.

I only had a quick look at their AppSumo listing, but from what I saw, although there's some overlap, Hide My WP Ghost offers a broader range of security features.

Also, in terms of plan limits, we offer unlimited websites starting with the Double Plan.

That said, I want to mention that Hide My WP Ghost is not meant to be an all-in-one security plugin, and we don’t intend to replace the other security plugins out there. Our purpose is to add an extra layer of protection, in order to prevent hacking attempts.

With Hide My WP Ghost you prevent attacks from happening, by hiding vulnerabilities in:

- themes,
- WP core,
- and plugins.

Hackers and hacker bots can’t attack what they can’t find. Plus, Hide My WP Ghost comes with many powerful security features, such as brute force protection, two-factor authentication (2FA), and an 8G firewall.

You can see more on the Features list here >> https://hidemywpghost.com/hide-my-wp-ghost-security-features/

I also recommend checking out:

A: Hey there, Sumo-ling! Thank you for your interest in Hide My WP Ghost by Squirrly.

Hide My WP Ghost is not meant to be an all-in-one security plugin, and we don’t intend to replace the other security plugins out there. Our purpose is to add an extra layer of protection, in order to prevent hacking attempts.

Hide My WP Ghost is compatible with Wordfence, and you can safely use the two together.

Hide My WP Ghost will complement Wordfence by offering an extra layer of protection that the other doesn’t offer.

With Hide My WP Ghost you prevent attacks from happening, by hiding vulnerabilities in themes, WP core, and plugins. Hackers and hacker bots can’t attack what they can’t find.

This offers an extra layer of protection that you don’t get from other plugins, because those focus on helping you while you are attacked and after you were attacked, by cleaning files, detecting malware, injections, etc.

With Hide My WP Ghos,t you can avoid getting injections in the first place.

To learn more about the advantages of using the two plugins together and the settings we recommend activating when using Hide My WP Ghost alongside Wordfence, check out this resource:

Hope this helps but let me know if you have any other questions.

A: Hey there, Sumo-ling! Thank you for your interest in Hide My WP Ghost by Squirrly.

Unlike the plans we currently offer on the website (which are Yearly Plans), the Multiple Plan gives you lifetime access to Hide My WP Ghost, lifetime updates, and lifetime support. You will get ALL the features included in the Ghost All plan, and you will be able to use Hide My WP Ghost on an unlimited number of websites.

The Multiple Plan that can be purchased via AppSumo also includes White labeling. More details about this here: https://hidemywpghost.com/hide-my-wp-white-label/

A: Hey there, Sumo-ling! Thank you for your support.

Codes can be stacked to upgrade to a higher tier. If you already have tier 2 (2 codes), buying an additional code (Single Plan), and redeeming it for your account will upgrade your plan to the Multiple Plan (3 codes) which includes White labeling.

To redeem the extra code, log in to your Hide My WP Ghost cloud account. Then go to Orders/ Licenses and add your additional code inside the "AppSumo Code" section. Redeem the code and your upgrade will be activated.

Hope this helps!

A: Hey there, Raaj!

Thank you for your interest in Hide My WP Ghost by Squirrly.

We haven't tested with the app you mentioned just yet. However, we've tested Hide My WP Ghost with over 1,000 plugins and themes so far, and we're constantly working on testing more. That said, compatibility issues are unlikely, especially if you use the Safe Mode from Hide My WP Ghost.

YES, all future updates are included. Hide My WP Ghost by Squirrly provides both 7G Firewall and 8G Firewall, and you will be able to select the one you prefer by navigating to Hide My WP > Firewall > "Firewall Strength."

8G Firewall has many filters that will keep you safe from all sorts of injections, and was one of the key updates we rolled out for Hide My WP Ghost.

You can check out the post "News from Hide My WP Ghost" on this deal page to discover even more updates we released since we announced the last set of updates here on AppSumo!

Q: Hi, 1) Does the HMWPG tier 1 to 3 deals comes with lifetime updates?

(Not a 1 year update correct?
2) If I get tier 3, is there any other additional upsell?
3) do you have a url link I could see screenshot or short video to view the saas dashboard for tier 3?

A: Hey there, mgm! Thank you for your questions.

1. Correct, lifetime updates are included, whether you get 1 code, 2 codes, or 3 codes.

2. 3 is the maximum number of codes that you can stack for this deal. Choosing Tier 3 and using all the features and benefits that come with this tier will NOT involve any additional costs beyond the initial purchase.

3. I suggest taking a look at: https://hidemywpghost.com/hide-my-wp-white-label/ .

We've recently introduced even more Web Dev Kit Level Customization options, so we'll be updating this resource soon. However, it can still help you get familiar with the white-label dashboard.

Hope this helps! :)

A: Hey there, mgm! Thank you so much for your interest in Hide My WP Ghost by Squirrly.

With the Multiple Plan (3 codes), Hide My WP Ghost can be completely white-labeled and appear under YOUR brand’s name and logo.

This is a great option for agencies who want to be able to offer clients a premium WordPress security plugin – and have it be perceived as their own tool.

You can learn more about it here: https://hidemywpghost.com/hide-my-wp-white-label/ .

We've recently introduced even more Web Dev Kit Level Customization options, so we'll be updating this resource soon. However, it can still help you get familiar with the white-label dashboard.

For upcoming updates, I recommend checking out our Roadmap: https://squirrly.feedbear.com/boards/hidemywp-ghost-by-squirrly?filter=Done

It will give you a clearer picture of what's on the horizon, and you can also filter to see recent updates we rolled out.

Plus, you can use the Roadmap to vote for existing posts, discuss them, or add your own feature requests. If an item on our roadmap gets a lot of votes, that tells us it's something that a large segment of our users would find valuable. And that helps guide our development efforts.

Hope this helps but let me know if you need more details or have any other questions.

Q: Hey Peter, I hope you're doing well!

Just wanted to ask why I have to comment here for support. It seems like the tech support team might have missed my emails again. There's this ongoing issue with a few links not working properly. Q: Hi, pre sales qns 1) if example purchase tier 1 plan of 10 website.

Could I deactivate old websites in order to connect to new websites? (the limit is 10 concurrent connected websites correct?) There is no limit in changing websites/domains correct?

2) the tier 3 provides a additional saas dashboard that is white label?
Means tier 1 & 2 has dashboard too but with your branding on it?

3) Is this plugin update similar to other plugin, as in it has Auto update so that I do not have to uninstall, upload updated plugin and activate it again (time consuming for multiple websites)

3) What would happen to xtz.com/wp-admin? could we change the wp-admin portion or how it would be?

A: 👋Hi,

Thank you for your questions!

1) Yes, you can deactivate any website at any time to free up connected websites. And we recommend saving a copy of the settings for each website from Backup/Restore in case you wish to easily restore the settings.

2) With the white label feature you will be able to remove any mentions or traces of HMWP Ghost on the WordPress plugin and present it as your own. This is indeed available only for Tier 3.

3) Yes, you can use auto update, and after we test the latest patches and updates, we push them to WordPress as well, so you will NOT need to download it every time we make a new update.

4) By changing the default path /wp-admin or /wp-login to a custom path, when somebody uses the default paths they will be redirected to the homepage.

Let us know if you have any other questions!

Q: Hello, I like your solution.

I was refunded before my 3rd code, but now I give it another try and purchased a 3rd code again but still disappointed with your white label solution.

1. If we use a white label plugin and block the client's site on the backend, the client should be able to contact us directly. Instead of forcing the client to activate the license with you, we should display our email on the error page. Activating the license with a non-branded plugin is acceptable, but with white label, it doesn't make sense.

2. If we activate the client site from the back end, it does not function properly on the client site; it still requires the client to activate the plugin with you.

3. Disabling a white label plugin and displaying your own branding instead could potentially create a negative impression for clients.

4. There is a critical error on a multisite installation with the white label feature, and it is currently running an older version 7xx while the latest version is 8xx. The HMWP without whitelabel is working perfectly, but the whitelabel version is causing my site to crash.

5. If we enable brute force protection in the white label Edit Plugin Customization, I believe it's crucial to also include Google reCAPTCHA in the white label setup.

I trust that you will take these concerns into consideration and improve upon the white label solution accordingly.

A: Hey there, Xhan! Thank you for your feedback here.

1. Blocking a website means you disable the license and the communication with your account. Normally, the function is used when there are unknown domains connected to your account and to make sure they are unable to reconnect to your account again. If you delete a connected website, you can reconnect it.

2. Once you download the whitelabel package from your account and install it on the client side, it will automatically connect the client website to your account. The connection only doesn't work if the website is blocked from your account.

3. This is because WordPress doesn't load a deactivated plugin and there is no way to load any translation/whitelabel for a plugin that is not activated. This would violate WordPress policy and security. Changing anything in the plugin file will affect the updates and also will be lost on the next plugin update (if it would be possible).

4. Please reach out to our support team and we will do our best to fix all issues as soon as possible. You can contact support at: hidemywp@squirrly.co.

5. There are 2 main reasons why we decided NOT to activate Google reCaptcha automatically:

a) For security reasons, we can't store the Google secret key from your Google account in the plugin's archive.
b) Google reCaptcha needs a secret key that is activated on a specific domain and needs to be tested before is activated. Activating a function that may block your login process is not safe.

Hope this helps and I want to thank you again for taking the time to share your concerns with us.
