I consider myself an Appsumo power user. Been here since 2012. Hundreds of purchases. I think I wrote one review in that time. This is another.

I expected Icanpreneur to be more like some of the business planning tools that we’ve seen in the past - templates, a few prompts, basically the same as Palo Alto’s BPlan Pro / Liveplan - which I still consider the gold standard for writing business plans.

I was very surprised by the quality and approach Icanpreneur offered.

I was so pleased that I went from a single tier to a full stack. That should be enough proof: people vote with their wallets.

The main differentiator is Icanpreneur is more like a business coach than a business plan. It gets you the documentation that you need but also prompts you to get results. If you’ve ever seen some of the television programs like Dragons Den or Shark Tank or whatever, their focus to provide funding is *sales*. A great idea is nothing until it’s been validated by a purchase.

This is the secret sauce of Icanpreneur: idea validation. It also leverages AI to help you flush out your idea more thoroughly. For example, you might think you only have one or two customer segments, but the built in AI helps you find others, and then challenges you to validate those, as well. This brainstorming aspect is encouraging and helps you think about your proposed solution in ways you might not have previously.

VCs are being pushed to surface new opportunities sooner because AI is helping entrepreneurs get to market quicker. Startups are likewise getting to market quicker because they are using AI, and don’t necessarily need VC funding. It’s a catch-22 for both - but only if you know how to USE AI. Using AI means more than ChatGPT or whatever, while many ideas also flounder because people with ideas can’t get past the ideation stage to action. Icanpreneur fills that gap between idea to action, and uses AI only as a support to ask the questions a customer or investor would.

Anyways, there’s my review. Good product. Worth the money. Try it, you’ll probably like it. If it helps you get your idea to market in a shorter amount of time, and you sell something, then it will have paid for itself.

BUT - (and this is A VERY IMPORTANT BUT):

If it helps you discover your idea is rubbish, then it will have saved you probably hundreds of hours of time and money wasted which is probably MORE valuable than the other outcome! There are a lot of very bad ideas out there; Icanpreneur just might help stop a few of them, saving marriages, mortgages, and the mental health of friends, families, and neighbours while aspiring entrepreneurs also learn to keep their day jobs.
