Q: The previous deal in Summer 2020 left me disappointed with how IdeaNote was throwing around our user information.

I was getting emails from G2Crowd, which I had never been a member of, asking me to leave reviews for IdeaNote. They were using the email addresses that I had used nowhere else but when creating ideanote accounts. Even Appsumo did not know those email addresses.

Would it not be the decent thing for IdeaNote to ASK us to Opt-In, before automatically passing on our information to G2Crowd? This feedback also applies to Appsumo- how do you vet vendors for their committment to users' emails/privacy?
Thanks.

A: Hi,

We have not shared your information with G2.

However, you have likely received an email from us in which we request a review on the G2 website. Might this be the email you are referring to?

If it's not an email from us, you are welcome to share a screenshot of the email so we can look into the matter.

All the best,
Morty

OK, Morty. Thanks for clarifying.

BTW, the summer 2020 IdeaNote sale did not have white labeling as a feature with 1 or 2 codes. Only with 3 codes. Now for the Black Friday sale I see both 1 and 2 codes have white labeling included. Will my 2-code stack from the summer sale get retroactive free access to white labeling?

You have a keen eye, my friend.

If you go to Settings on your workspace, you will find tabs for Workspace, Custom Domain, and Branding - all of which will allow for new and exciting white-labeling options.

Enjoy!
