An Easy-to-manage collaboration tool

While I haven't yet used this tool with a large community yet, I can see the value in it. It allows for a simple and engaging way to bring about discussion around a simple point. It's more organised than a Facebook post and it's more community-centric than a survey. The result is an idea farm which can be used to add value to courses and other things you sell.

I run two businesses - online marketing for local businesses owners who can't do tech, and English language training for intermediate and advanced language learners who don't 'fit in' anywhere.

I don't have a large team, but I'm going to use this for my English language students to use to discuss and to submit and request training videos.

When I start my membership for local business owners to get training running simple ads, I'll use it for that too.

I probably won't, however, use it for my no-tech local business clients as adding more and more tech to their working with me just adds more barriers to the whole relationship.

A few points to consider:

1. It won't 'just work'. You will have to actively use it and push people to use it to. There has to be incentive in it to get clients and students to use it. Without a bribe, people are unlikely to move to a new website to collaborate unless it's in their best interest.

2. If you're planning, note taking and idea generating on your own, you don't need this. There are better tools suited to personal and private note taking.
