1- It doesn't work! I registered for a free trial. From the registration form, I keep getting errors. I entered my email and I got an error that username (regardless of being labeled "email") had to be alphanumeric, even though it was! I didn't pass the registration step until I used a different email!
Afterwards, trying to add an alert source also doesn't work! Trying to add any source results in "Failed to create alert sources. Please try again." error! Would someone "alert" the creator??
2- Limits seem reasonable for individuals, but they are really low even for small businesses with serious, mission critical operations. I know some alert channels are unlimited, but for most part the whole point of the tool is promptness, which requires convenience and flexibility.
I couldn't reach anything beyond adding an alert source to see if anything else arises. But my impression so far is that I can't rely on such unstable and limited service.
Thanks for your feedback! Can you please reach out to support@ilert.com with your registration issue? To register for a free trial, you only need to enter your name, email and subdomain for your iLert account.
Regarding the limits: we have no plans to change these. If you live in the US or Canada, I recommend to use our mobile app that also supports critical notifications with custom sounds that bypass your phone do-not-disturb mode.
Q: Hello,
Are there any plans to add Pushover as an integration for alerts (https://pushover.
net/api)? We use this extensively at the moment. They can receive alerts via email but it would be more reliable to send notifications via the API.
Also do you have any plans to add monitoring of SSL certificates (expiry dates) and domain registrations (also expiry dates)? Both of these are important to monitor when working as an agency serving clients.
A: Hey there, Thanks for reaching out. I'm not sure if I understand your question. What do you mean by "compatible with MainWP". Can you briefly your use case?
I am sure the iLert team will get to your questions shortly! Meanwhile, I noticed you have purchased over 160 deals with us and you are not an AppSumo Plus member yet. By becoming a member you can receive 10% of tools and be part of our Sumo-ling community called The Sauce.
Let me know if you are interested or check out more info here: https://appsumo.com/plus.
A: Hey there, Thanks for your question. We don't offer SAML-based SSO on our AppSumo plans, only on our Premium plan. However, all our AppSumo plans include Google based SSO. Thanks, Birol
A: You can monitor multiple domains and create status pages on multiple different domains. Please have a look at the the tiers for the exact amount of domain. E.g. you can create up 10 status pages on 10 different domains on Tier 3.
Q: Hey Sumo-lings, 👋🏻
This is Birol, co-founder of iLert.
I’m super excited to introduce you to iLert - the uptime platform. 🚀
We built iLert because we believe that businesses should have a single system to dispatch alerts to the right people and manage uptime and incident communication across all their digital services.
10 years ago, iLert started with a simple mission: help companies to increase their uptime and deliver a seamless digital experience. Every feature in iLert is built to help you to respond to critical alerts faster and increase your uptime. The very first version of iLert provided our customers a frictionless way to turn any alert from any monitoring tool into an SMS or phone call with the ability to acknowledge an alert by replying to an SMS or pressing a digit during a phone call, no hardware required.
Today, iLert has evolved into a fully-fledged incident response platform covering every aspect of the incident response lifecycle, including: ✅ Reliable two-way alerting via SMS, phone calls, WhatsApp, and more ✅ Sophisticated on-call scheduling built for on-call teams ✅ Call routing to reach the on-call responders by calling a phone number ✅ Uptime & heartbeat monitoring to get alerted instantly if any of your sites are down. ✅ Status pages to communicate incidents effortlessly to your users ✅ 100+ integrations
Next, we’ll add: 🔥Post mortems 🔥Work logging (for on-call compensation) 🔥Custom metrics in status pages 🔥More messengers (e.g. Signal, Telegram) 🔥More integrations 👉🏻for more, have a look at our roadmap at https://roadmap.ilert.com
🤷🏻♂️Why should you care? Because uptime matters! With the whole world online all the time, service uptime for digital services is more important than ever. So if you’re a SaaS company, a managed service provider, or an agency that operates websites and apps for your customers, then iLert is for you.
Can’t wait to see you on iLert and hear your feedback, Birol
Hi there, The SMS and voice quotas in Tier 2 and 3 are a hard monthly limit. If you reach the limit, you will not receive any SMS or voice notifications until the limit is reset in the next month. We don't offer extra credits. Thanks, Birol
Q: Where are your checking servers and what networks are they on?
We currently have two regions: EU and US. Every uptime monitor you create is assigned to a region. Within every region, we check your end point from at least two geographic locations. In the US it's Virginia and California. Only if two locations report that your end point is down, the site is considered to be down. This is mainly to avoid false positives.
I am looking for a tool that can track the "end URL", such the service offered by wheregoes. That too while checking the uptime. Can I do that using your tool?
Yes, the monitors show 2 types of logs: status change logs which show any transition between up, downtime or other states and result logs, which show the latest uptime responses.
Q: I'm just confused with lots of features, so let me keep it simple.
Can this tool be used like a simple Uptime Monitoring service for WordPress Websites & Cloudways Servers?
Status pages, can I link, multiple WordPress websites urls in a single status page? I would love to verify all my websites in a single status page. Possible?
You get the most value of iLert if you use it for all your alerting and incident comms needs. If you are only interested in uptime monitoring, then iLert is probably an overkill.
Regarding your second question: yes, you can include multiple uptime monitors in a single status page.
We continuously add new integrations based on customer requests. So once you are a customer, feel free to let us know the tools you’re using and we’ll add them to our list.

We have no planst to integrate with Pushover at the moment. Feel free submit an idea at roadmap.ilert.com and have the community vote for it.
Regarding SSL monitoring: we already support monitoring of SSL certificates. iLert will alert up to 2 weeks before your SSL certificate expires.

After digging deeper into MainWP Advanced Uptime Monitor: you'd have to request this integration from MainWP. I don't think they support iLert, yet.

iLert's uptime monitors follow up to 10 redirects.

Appreciate the quick response. Thank you.
And that's nice. 10 redirects is overly generous of you :)
Got one more question, does it also show the URL in logs? I mean is the status of URLs monitored captured in logs?
Yes, the monitors show 2 types of logs: status change logs which show any transition between up, downtime or other states and result logs, which show the latest uptime responses.
