Inbox was one of my early investments when I joined Appsumo a few years ago. However, I did not get to use it until yesterday because I needed to launch a newsletter campaign.
I left it on the "shelf" partly because of some of the reviews I had read, and this led me to jump on one of the "big names" software that offers similar services. After wasting hours trying to set up the campaign, then I remembered Inbox. I logged in, successfully created a newsletter using one of the templates and managed to send it out within an hour. I also got a report later about the click and open rates.
My advice to the developers is to create more updated how-to videos, as I found much of the needed information that resolved my initial struggles from their online written documents.
Inbox promises a lot of features that can't deliver in a straight forward way.
I bough it for connecting my blog to a RSS service for my articles.
Setting RSS send was a mayhem, and I couldn't get it done.
It looks like a patch work of apps that are connected barely to a hub that is called Inbox.
The configuration also need great improvement, for example in the RSS feed I get two "Continue reading" in the text that are sent. Besides that the RSS comes text with no formatting at all. Every thing in a chunk of text that I can't configure it. And is hard to read.
The forms, there is not much room for customisation in the thank you message, specially if you don't have the languages that they provide.
To end some of them sometimes crash or I get the 404 Error when clicking in certain options.
Unfortunately I waited too long to ask for a refund, a word of caution to myself in the future.
I have bought this as alternative to SendInBlue. They promise a lot of features, but none of them work. I tried to setup a test automation. It did not work. They needed 2 weeks to have the developer search for the problem. They asked me to setup a new automation. I did it and still it did not work. TO resume: I (mis)used 2 days in order test the software for then setting it up with all the content. It was wasted time, as it did not even work with the simple test automation. So in reality it should be 0 tacos.
If you want to be a sparring partner in developing a newsletter software, this is your chance. In case you want a working newsletter software: do not buy Inbox!!!
Maxed out the purchase at 3 codes to fully try this App and here's the scoop.... TLDR: As what other recent reviewers have said, there are bugs that currently make this unusable.
PROS: - Beautiful premade templates and a nice drag and drop editor that I actually prefer over Mailchimp's - Lots of features compared to other LTD email software. - You can "group" contact lists which is useful when managing multiple brands so your brand (group) can have different contact lists within it.
CONS: - Email verification doesn't work (which is what makes this App currently unusable). To verify a sender email you enter the email address you want to send emails from and then get sent an activation link. Unfortunately, clicking the activation link results in an error page. Tested with multiple emails, domains, and web browsers. Sent a message to support but haven't heard back (there's no instant chat). - This App is advertised as being able to handle "multiple brands" and while that is technically true since you can add multiple domains and senders, it doesn't actually have brand management. For instance there is no where to create branded templates - you just create a newsletter and can then duplicate it if you want to reuse that design. Same goes for Forms, Reports, and Landing Pages. This gets very convoluted for Agencies that manage email marketing for multiple brands. - There's 1 user (you) with no way of adding sub-users (ex. employees or clients). Also, you take up a contact spot. - This one is odd, but your profile settings page is acutally on a totally different sub-domain (my.useinbox.com) and there are NO links back to the main sub-domain (id.useinbox.com) so if you click "edit profile" you have to either click "back" in your browser or reopen the App in a new browser tab. This only happens with the Profile page and none of the other settings pages... - Transactional emails and email verifications are NOT unlimited. With any of the plans (I have 3 codes) you get 1,000 transactional emails included and 100 email verifications. You also have to turn these on seperately within your account as they're considered different Apps.
Also, to answer questions that were being asked (unsure why it's not specified in the product listing) you get UNLIMITED email sends with all plans. The only limit is subscribers. However, keep in mind that this is because you are sending emails through YOUR DOMAIN. If you're unsure of the risks regarding that, Google it.
As an agency owner looking for a Mailchimp alternative, I will personally be refunding. However, if they fix their email verification issue then this could be a good alternative for individuals.

Hello,
Thank you for addressing the concerns. I appreciate your feedback on the points I mentioned:
I understand that your Sender Account Verification Process is working well. It's great to know that other customers haven't encountered any issues.
Regarding Brand Management, I see that you're already working on it. That's a positive step forward!
