Overall terrifying experience.
I just purchased the InBox. It seems like quite good. It has a very good reputation and a lot of reviews on appsumo. Now I just redeemed my Tier 1 and I also logged in. Now when I'm trying to log out, it's pushing me to download something. I don't know why they are doing this. It's kind of some bug, or they are trying to install a virus or something like this on our laptop?. I'm using MacBook Safari. Overall, the experience is terrifying. I'm not sure what they are trying to do.

Jun 10, 2026Hi, and thank you for picking up INBOX — we're genuinely sorry the experience felt unsettling, because that's the last thing we want for a new user.
We want to reassure you right away: INBOX never triggers any download to your device. There's nothing to install — it runs entirely in the browser, and we have 25,000+ active users with no reports of a download being pushed on logout. We've also checked our support inbox and don't currently have a ticket describing this, so we'd love the chance to look into exactly what you're seeing.
What's most likely is a browser-side prompt (Safari occasionally surfaces a "Add to Home Screen" install suggestion for web apps, or an extension can inject one), and we can confirm that in a minute or two if you can share a quick screenshot.
Could you email us at [email protected] with a screenshot of the prompt? We'll get it sorted and make sure your experience is the smooth one the other reviews describe. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to help.
