Q: AI Rules

hi there, I noticed there is a focus on cursor and Claude Code but I didn't see any mentioned of Github Copilot, how well do the AI rules play with it? that's my main tool for coding.

A: Hi there! That is a great question. Yes, Indie Kit plays perfectly with GitHub Copilot - in fact, it works right out of the box with zero extra setup.

The reason it works so well is that Indie Kit is built on the open "Agent Skills" standard. GitHub Copilot natively supports this architecture. Instead of relying on proprietary files that only work in Cursor, Indie Kit includes modular SKILL.md files located directly in the standard project folders (like `.agent or cursor/skills/`).

Because of this:
1. GitHub Copilot automatically detects the Indie Kit skills.
2. It intelligently loads the exact instructions, templates, and scripts needed for your specific task (like writing a Drizzle ORM query or setting up a Next.js App Router page).
3. It keeps your context window clean and fast by only loading these rules when they are actually relevant to your prompt.

So if GitHub Copilot is your daily driver, you will get the exact same "AI Superpowers" as the Cursor users!

Great! rather impressive the demo on your site with Claude code, that was a nice selling point for me :) I may need to go via your website as I'm no longer a Sumo Plus user and the deal is only available to people with that subscription plan. still deciding whether to do the basic pro plan or the one with all the bells and whistles, which at this stage is a bit overkill but I'd hate to miss on it
