Wasted Potential
I like Indy's approach to solving problems for freelancers and small businesses that need a simple way to manage contracts, payments, and customers. However, the lack of communication and replying to feedback tells me that this is the end of the road. For example, the latest post in the changelog is from over a year ago.
If you visit the feature requests page, you will notice that there are a lot of customers "talking to each other" with no answers from the company. Customers are asking for features, but nobody from the company is replying or even checking this board.
I created an account a while ago, and I still cannot complete my profile on the app because the location field is required, and this field cannot be completed. So, as soon as you type your city, state, country, and move to the next field, the field is deleted. That bug has been present in the profile page for more than four months. https://indy.canny.io/feature-requests/p/unable-to-write-city-state-and-country
Another thing with the application is that most of the templates are not suited for professional settings. There is a lot of "me" and "I" in proposals, for instance, and the language is very relaxed. This might be OK for a freelancer doing proposals for some friends. But for a small company or a professional, it is not adequate.
I hope they fix the issues, but for now this is shelfware because I cannot move all the operations of my small company to a system that ignores feedback, does not provide new updates, and is still so buggy.

Apr 16, 2026Hi there,
First of all, my apologies for the very late reply. I’m just now catching up on messages here and didn’t want to leave your question unanswered.
Thank you for providing such detailed and candid feedback. We sincerely apologize for the lack of communication you've experienced and for the frustration this has caused. Over the past few months, we have been focused on rebuilding our customer service team to ensure that our users receive the timely and helpful support they deserve moving forward.
I would like to address the specific points you raised:
- Profile Location Bug: We’re happy to confirm that the issue preventing users from saving their city, state, and country has been fully resolved. You should now be able to complete your profile without the field resetting.
- Template Tone: We truly appreciate your perspective on the “relaxed” tone of some templates. We are actively reviewing our content library and working to introduce more options that better suit formal, corporate, and professional use cases.
We’re also planning to roll out several new funcitons in mid-2026, and we’ll continue improving the product based on user feedback and requests.
We truly value your support and hope these updates encourage you to give Indy another try. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected].
