Finally a stellar product for CXOs as well as Citizen Data Scientists
If user-friendliness, speed and effectiveness were the yardstick for a best-in-class analytics product, INSIA would win hands-down (even against established incumbents who, to their credit, are continuously innovating). Don’t be fooled by the simplicity; this is a powerful product available at an unbelievable price point. I have used it to run quick analyses, and here are my thoughts.
I have been working with CXOs of large MNCs for over a decade, and while they love data, they are seldom hands-on with hypothesis testing or data visualization. Understandably so. Most senior execs with whom I have worked have never truly experienced “no code” and therefore think of it as a tech marketing gimmick. Many in the middle management (think Channel / Product Marketeers, Demand Planners, Finance Business Partners) are believers, but get tripped on pre-requisites such as SQL, RDBMS, etc. The result: democratization of analytics at several large companies remains a pipe dream. In fact, it also explains the proliferation of governed dashboards / reports that are difficult and expensive to maintain and consume. Enter INSIA with NLP-like search, no SQL pre-requisite, easy data ingestion, dynamic visualizations and you finally have a product that is likely to bridge the “chasm” between early adopters and early majority at large companies.
Granted this isn’t a data science workbench like Dataiku, but my data scientist friends have also found it immensely useful to do quick feasibility checks and exploratory data analyses that succeed data wrangling on complex use cases such as price elasticity studies.
Long story short, the proof of the pudding is in the eating so, like me, play with INSIA, and stress test the heck out of this beast. If you haven’t given it a shot yet, you are in a for treat.
