However, I two major reasons have discouraged me from buying more codes:
1. It's missing foreign language features
2. I'm surprised that your WorkMap ruled out "creative/design jobs" and "editing/translation" related functions (http://support.interviewer.ai/article/workmap-skill). These are one of the major job skills, but they are not listed under the "Job function" - the first mandatory step to create a job description.
I strongly suggest that you add these missing job functions, or maybe at least you can kindly consider adding a custom field "Other job functions" under the "Job function" to let users fill out the missing job functions? Thank you for your consideration.
Firstly, let me assure you that WorkMap assessment is not mandatory. While creating the job you can skip it to General and still create an interview.
You have a great suggestion and its something we are working on for our clients to pick specific skills that they would like to evaluate. Like the custom choice, however its work in progress and we will update you once released.
Would suggest stock your codes while you can. Thank you so much.

Q: I understand you support only 4 languages.
But is there a way for me to translate the transactional emails sent to my applicants? I'm hiring in Turkey and some posts will not need to know English. I can write my own questions in Turkish yet, but all the transactional email flow is English, which means I cannot interview anyone that does not know English. Is there a way around this?
Yes, you can edit the invitation emails to your choice of language. That is possible, also you can type the question in any language too. The AI score has 4 metrics Professionalism, Sociability, Communication and Energy level. Communication is the only element that will be effected if someone speaks in any other language. Rest will still work for you.
Thank you. Best, Manoj
Q: Would the CV or letter of motivation prescreen based on specific predefined keywords so as to prequalify to ...
the additional step of video screening? this would be an important element to avoid low quality or inappropriate applications.
CNAME has to be included for 4 codes up with the whitelable. THks
The CV prescreening is based on the job description. It evaluates the experience, skills, education mentioned in the CV. It provides an overall score too. Resume scoring doesn't evaluate against the video or candidate's response.
Also, Cname or Whitelable feature is not available in our platform.
Thank you. Best, Manoj
Q: #Candidates seems too low at each tier.
Isn't the point to automate to cast a wider net? 50 candidates can be screened manually pretty easily. Please consider increasing the #candidates.
We totally would like to expand a wider net, however sometimes even screening 50 candidates can get tedious considering the amount of time we spend at each candidate. Small businesses have expressed convenience even if its a lower number but are closely relevant candidates. Then this 50 would also be a good number. However, to address why we would not want to give all-in. We are not just recording Video interview but also assessing the candidates and that costs more than we think :)
We will try our best to improve our plans, our early adopters would vouch for that :).
Thank you for showing us your interest and would be obliged to service you.
What happens if we receive more than 50 applications? For example, we post the job post and directly link to the Interviewer.AI link. There may be more than 50 applicants that applies. What will happen to the excess?
Thats a fair question, if you post the link on an external site and have 50 Assessment limit. Let me assure you we do not limit candidates from recording the interview, however you will be able to access the first 50 Assessments. In case you want to unlock the remaining interviews, you can simply upgrade and gain access to rest depending on your new limits.
Thanks for clarifying this. Can you provide the upgrade costs if the 50 candidate limit is reached?
Q: sorry if this question was already answered but I don't see it.
My usage for this (as would just everything) would primarily agency level. So scenario for me would be for clients who have current openings. So I would setup jobs and charge clients setup and monthly fees to run this as well as job postings and ads on various sites linking to this. So I setup Client A for three months for 3 job openings. She collects a total of say, 97 applicants. Now I have Client B and Client C who between them max out my allotment of Jobs. Client A's 3 jobs are no longer live. The question is: What happens to those jobs and candidates for Client A? When she comes back to me in 2 months because one of the hires she made left and now she has to fill one of those jobs again, and wants to review her 97 former applicants?
Thats a brilliant use case. Yes, we do have clients who use it for multiple clients. Now in your scenario when A has filled the position you can archive their positions. So you can refresh 3 jobs that can be added for B and or C. Also, if A would like to revisit the candidates you can activate the archived job by simply changing the expiry date to a current or future date. Simple steps for clients to manage their requirements.
However, please do not we currently do not allow multiple domain login. So I am assuming here you would share candidates from your login with the prospective clients. Feel free to reach me at hello@interviewer.ai for additional information.
It looks like a very promising product but I definitely could not use it then under those restrictions. I'm also still not clear what happens to the previous candidates. Can the employer only see the previous candidates if their job is reopened?

1. We do have prescreening assessments but these are more inclined towards soft skills and not hard skills for technical evaluation; 2. Our platform is a Video prescreening tool, so you do have an option of customising the questions to meet your requirements in this case. However, when you say out of the box I think I can relate to your need but afraid its not a part of our offerings; 3. PHP is not included in our platform.

Q: Has localisation been taken into account with Interviewer.
ai? I mean I would like if users could have smooth experience with local language. I guess you can write questions in any language you want, but I always see things like this that have mixed language (english + local language) not as professional as they probably should be. I don't mind making the end user localisation in-house as long as the app allows it.
We do have 4 languages (English, Spanish, Polish and Mandarin) in the account for managing candidate instructions. We have plans for launching German, French and Italian soon for the candidates. Could you advise which language were you keen on?
I don't know how much there is actual text in the UI that is shown the people who get interviewed, but wouldn't it be best if the client/end user could translate those UI texts by themselves? I don't see any issue in th end user UI being in English, but wouldn't it be cool if the end user would have ability to create custom translation(s) for the UI that the people who get interviewed will see? This is the way some other apps work. Obviously "official translation" is a good thing, but smartly designed custom translation feature would in my opinion make this tool so much better. Obviously there are things to consider, like if there's gazillion lines of text that need to be translated etc. But in a nutshell if custom translation would be possible, it would add some pace with clients who see currently any issue with Interview.io not being translated to their language. My guts tell that the issue is not with the end user UI, but with the the UI for who get interviewed. Perhaps there could be an ability to upload/download the translation in CSV as well. Then in some scenarios some clients might share their translation or something similiar. Or some company might send that CSV to a translator.
Anycase! 3 days to go. Have to see where I land! Tempting! ;)
Thats a great idea, however will involve lot of man-hour and we are currently in midst of a major UI UX upgrade. We will definitely add it our customer wish-list, however hard to commit on these as most of our clients are comfortable with our translations. Especially we have a lot of candidates using our Polish translation and we do not see a challenge.
The thing that I'm a bit worried about (obviously not my call and just my opinion) is that a lot of stuff is "hard coded" into the app. For an example, I went through some reviews and in one of them mentioned that docs and some other attachments were allowed before, but now only PDFs. The reply to this review about this particular issue was that DOCs etc. brought up compatibility issues, which is why now only PDF is supported. This could have been easily solved by allowing the user to limit attachment types and, by default,t only PDF would be on. Hard coding something usually caters to one group of people while leaving the rest out. In this example, making the PDF default, while having some other options available through a setup menu, would have catered to a bigger audience. For example, someone allowing DOCs would decide for themselves if they want to work with compatibility issues.
When I talked about custom translation, I was thinking about languages that you dont currently have a translation to. The official translation by Interview.io should always be the preferred option when available. But imagine if UI language of the people being interviewed would had not been "hard coded". I guess it's not "hard coded" in the same way as some other stuff... But imagine if there was a menu where you could input your custom translation. This way for an example I could use this tool in Finnish language, perhaps years before the official translation comes out, if it ever comes out for Finnish. This type of thinking, when thinking about UI can have big impact (IMO) on the potential a particular app has per market/language. This is the way survey tools that I've used have worked. Where you can create your own translation to offer high quality experience instead of mixed language.
One other thing that I'm wondering is that a lot of texts the people getting interviewed will see is something the client can't change. This is worrying because I think it should be obvious that texts like this should be something the client can change themselves and if the Interview.io UI team does not figure things like this out without input, what else is missed now and in the future
When there's something you have not coded, and you can with little bit of extra time offer options instead of hard coded choices, your UI team should see the value in options that are valuable to the client instead of making a choice for the client that might cater only some of the people.
I understand that when something like being able to custom translate certain aspects of the UI has not been taken into consideration before the whole thing was put together, it would be hard to add something like this as an afterthought. But imagine how powerful this kind of feature would be. Now your basically limited to the languages that you offer, unless the client is prepared for not so professional mixed language experience.
Apologies for the delay in responding. I already sent it to my tech team and I hope they also find value in differentiating the way of coding.
Finnish language is not on our roadmap, but will explore the ways to add languages more easily as suggested. You can look out for our future releases in our roadmap document: https://trello.com/b/1wttgzch/interviewerai-product-roadmap
We will update it as we progress with our planned releases.
Thank you once again for your continuous support and your appreciation towards our product.
Cheers! Best, Manoj
Q: Hi, am planning to use it in Indonesia,
Can your app capture Dual Language (English or/and Indonesian?
And do you have white-label and Cname capabilities?
Our AI evaluates responses in English ONLY. If a candidate responds in any language other than English, the AI evaluation score will only impact communication score. So you still can use it for any other language.
Thank you. Best, Manoj
Q: Any final decision on integrating CNAME and White Labeling features?
We appreciate your interest on the CName and white-labelling features. However, internally we have checked and the hurdle seems more of a legal issue than a technological challenge. As a platform we are answerable for the user's privacy and data protection and prevent any form of misuse. This conflicts with the feature you requested, because, as a brand the candidate interacts with you or your customers, but legally they sign in to our data protection and privacy policies, which needs to be consistent to offer a great candidate experience. As a global platform, we will have to undergo an extensive legal study to understand the ramifications of offering these features and whether it complies with GDPR and other applicable laws. Unfortunately we would not be able to release it at this time.
We may revisit it in the near future if our legal team comes back with a way to do this in a scalable manner. Appreciate your understanding in this matter.
Thank you. Best, Manoj
Q: Hi!
Thanks for coming to AppSumo!
Three questions for you:
(1) How does white label actually look if there is no CNAME? This is confusing to me.
(2) Is CNAME: (a) maybe; (b) no; (c) definitely. If the answer is (a) or (c), will CNAME be offered to Sumo-lings with 4 codes and up as part of this deal or will it be extra MRR? (If yes, and ETA?)
(3) Do you have customers using this for coaching businesses (vs hiring)? If so, does the interface make sense for coaching clients? Is the UX/UI for the interviewee designed to make sense whether the platform is being used for coaching or HR depts and recruiters?
i am also interested in other use cases for this , video interviews for projects, pitching, ideation, ranking their quality and being able to export the video. This could also be used to
You can share video, CV, LinkedIn URL, AI evaluation using the Share candidate feature. Sharing a support link: http://support.interviewer.ai/article/digital-profiles
1. CName/Whitelabeling feature is unavailable on our platform. We may revisit it in the near future if our legal team comes back with a way to do this in a scalable manner.
2. Yes, we do have a mix of clients using it for recruitment and coaching. In fact we have some major universities too using it for coaching and preparing students for placements. The UI/UX is same as of now, however we do have plan to recreate the coaching environment. Its in our roadmap, no tentative date available as of now.
Thank you. Best, Manoj
Q: Hi,
Please could you answer the following.
1.When do you plan to add CNAME for custom domain and how many codes will be required to be purchased for it?
2. I can see the number of candidates per code who can apply for the job. However please also mention how many video questions each candidate can answer and also if there is a limit to each question in terms of length.
1. CName/Whitelabeling feature is unavailable on our platform.
2. You can have 10 questions of 1 minute each, total interview duration of 10 minutes.
Thank you. Best, Manoj
Q: I bet if you enabled the ability to remove the "Powered by Interviewer AI" branding right now (during the ...
last 24 hours of the deal), that you would rake in a lot more sales to help fund your project and/or make sales. I can only afford a couple right now, but the only thing holding me back right now is that I wouldn't be able to remove the "Powered by Interviewer.AI" branding, or download the videos. We do a lot of our interviews on tablets and being able to give our guys an easy way to watch the videos would make things much easier and save i bandwidth.
What do you have to lose? You will make a lot more sales during the homestretch and would get a lot more people interested, people talking, and a bigger general "buzz" arounf your brand.
AppSumo has spoiled me over the years. When I come here, I expect white-labeling. Anything over $39 that has stacking options, has gotta be something crazy awesome. Anything over $69 wit stacking options, has all the bells and whistles and is usually has an unlimited option.
I think you would have sold 6x-7x-times more than what you sold if you had the price at $39-$49. I would bet a couple hundred bucks you would have sold anywhere between 6x-10x-times more at $39. At $39, with stacking and an unlimited option at 10-12 tiers, everyone would have purchased at least 4 of them and then you would have had a ood amount of people buying whatever the unlimited tier was at.
Yeah, would would have had to sell more, but you would have made off with a lot more money at the right price.
This is all just my opinion. I really liked this product and really wanted to get it. But it was too high for me. I usually wouldn't spend a second writing you to give you my thoughts, because most people aren't going to change their pricing structure here based on one guy they don't even know. But I think this product has a lot of potential and could have done a lot better here. If you wanna take me up on the bet, let me know.
It makes us so happy to hear your thoughts and most importantly your valued suggestions.
You are totally right, understanding customers behaviour and pricing choices is very crucial here. You give us some ideas around it, I already shared it with my internal team and they were amazed too. Quite an eye-opener :)
We do have options to remove the "Powered by Interviewer.AI" branding thats coupled with 4 or more codes. Hope you found this information in the above listing.
Once this plan is over, we will think about the pricing ideas you shared. Money is important but having users around the world loving our platform would be an awesome win for us.
Feel free to connect with me directly at manoj@interviewer.ai.
Appreciate your time and ideas. Hope you buy our product to start with and we will do our best to service.
Thank you. Best, Manoj
Q: Hi the platform looks great!
Few final hours remaining before the deal ends, if you could please clarify regarding CNAME, complete white label and custom branding, etc., would be great and will make it easier for us to take a decision.
Due to my work attributes, unfortunately I am only able to use the platform if Complete White Labeling, CNAME and Branding features are offered. Therefore it is crucial for me to know if these will be offered, so I am able to take an informed decision. I urge you to please tell us if we can expect these features in the future.
Just a suggestion, as I see multiple questions regarding this are not answered. If you do not clarify, many won't buy and if you later implement these features, you would have missed so many more sales. So if you are able to clarify regarding the White Label features before the deal ends, will ensure we grab the deal, thank you!
Apologies for the delay and yes it was something that team was internally discussing and hence the delay.
We appreciate your interest on the CName and white-labelling features. However, internally we have checked and the hurdle seems more of a legal issue than a technological challenge. Q: Is this a video-only platform?
Meaning, can we include written questions as part of the applicant assessment?
So items are simple and do not require a video response. For example, one might ask something like "Do you have X certification?" and similar types of questions.
I read on your site that you have customized forms but even that mentions limiting the type of question asked.
This is very important to me and a deal-breaker if you don't offer it.
Yes, its a video prescreening platform. However, the kind of questions you mentioned can be included in our Additional form questionnaire. I do not think we set a limit there, but more than 10 would get the candidates jump off their seat ;)
Let me know at hello@interviewer.ai if you need additional assistance with this.
Cheers! Best, Manoj
Q: What is the difference between Silver and Gold plans?
Gold plan is unavailable on AppSumo. Gold plan has a lot of scope for customisation however it's only available on our Monthly or Annual deals. Refer to our pricing for more details: https://interviewer.ai/pricing/
Thank you. Best, Manoj
Q: Hi, What accounts for 50 candidates per role in stack 1.
Does this mean that only 50 candidates can be invited for each role?
50 candidates mean 50 candidate assessments in each interview. So you can create an interview, invite 50 candidates. Archive the interview and create a fresh interview and get more 50 candidates. Its as good as all you can eat but only on your live interviews.
Thank you. Best, Manoj
Q: Hello,
I'm planning to purchase one code at this time.
Am I going to be able to stack more codes later, even though the deal is closed? Thanks.
If the deal is closed, then you may not be able to buy new codes on AppSumo. But stacking option will be available if you already purchased the code in advance.
In case of any challenges, feel free to reach me directly at manoj@interviewer.ai
Thank you Best, Manoj
Q: I would like to stack some more codes but need German language.
I saw that you wrote about 2 month ago that German language will be released soon. On 9th october I saw that you still wrote that German language will be released soon. Is there a detailed date when the needed language will be released?
We do expedite releases on our Annual deals as we get an immediate commitment to proceed and can direct our team to this implementation. Hence, giving a tentative date also gets challenging. We have other client requests in pipeline too. Currently the team is working on UI/UX upgrades.
I understand you are keen on the German language, you could let us know if any of our Annual deals interest to expedite the request, I can work out a discount too for an immediate choice and provide a release date thereafter.
Happy to discuss, you can reach me at manoj@interviewer.ai

Q: I am a little bit confused
What is the value of removing powered by Interviewer.
AI As long as there is no option to have CNAME and the emails also will be sent from your domain? I don’t know how to use it for my agency if I want to sell this service to my clients? Is there a way to let candidates make their video interviews without knowing the software name?
We get your sentiments. The whole purpose of removing the branding is to avoid confusion in the minds of candidates. When they receive an invitation for interview, they shouldn't be confused with the company name and the software name. With respect to your query, we do not have the option of customising CNAME in our platform.
This is what's stopping me from purchasing and stacking up on this offer.
Too much branding.
Q: Hello Sumo-lings!
We are overwhelmed by the response and truly grateful for your support.
While we see a lot of our clients already exploring the full potential of our platform, we understand there are some questions that has come to us repeatedly through AppSumo and other sources. We would love to share some light to these queries:
1. Branding and Customisation: Pick any deal and you can add your business logo and company information for your candidate's reference. Reference link: http://support.interviewer.ai/article/how-can-i-add-my-logo. You can now go one step ahead! In our latest deals, you can pick from Tier 4 and above to add this feature. You can remove our "Powered by Interviewer.AI" branding too.
2. CNAME & White labeling: We never thought this would be of such great interest and it clearly shows your love towards us. We are exploring the options of CNAME, White labeling and managing multiple client domains under a single login. We will soon update you through our roadmap https://trello.com/b/1wttgzch/interviewerai-product-roadmap.
3. Assigned Limits: Well, our limits are decent enough to meet a small business or agency needs. I say that simply because if you create an interview and hire a person, you can archive the job and your credits are refreshed. We do not give these limits as a one-off on the package. You can keep creating jobs and archiving them, as long as you don't exceed your live job limits at any time. Also, if you have received candidate assessments more than your plan limit, you can stack an additional code and access the new assessments. You do not miss on any candidates and have a good candidate experience at the same time.
Feel free to reach us on AppSumo or directly email us at hello@interviewer.ai if you have any questions in mind.
Would love to have CNAME feature as it's something everyone needs these days, especially on Appsumo. Btw, the reference link in Pt. 1 doesn't seem to work.
Thank you for your feedback. Try copying and pasting the link without the final period. We are working hard to improve your customer experience, and all your comments are precious to us!

Then in some scenarios some clients might share their translation or something similiar. Or some company might send that CSV to a translator.
Anycase! 3 days to go. Have to see where I land! Tempting! ;)
Hello Sumo-ling,
Thats a great idea, however will involve lot of man-hour and we are currently in midst of a major UI UX upgrade. We will definitely add it our customer wish-list, however hard to commit on these as most of our clients are comfortable with our translations. Especially we have a lot of candidates using our Polish translation and we do not see a challenge.
Your point noted and will review it in future.
Thank you.
Best,
Manoj
Hi Manoj,
Thanks for your reply!
Regardless of this, the deal is awesome!
Thank you so much for your detailed inputs.
Cheers!

Q: Hi, am planning to use it in Indonesia, Can your app capture Dual Language (English or/and Indonesian?
And do you have white-label and Cname capabilities?
Share Interviewer.AI
Hello Sumoling,
We do not have dual language capabilities.
Our AI evaluates responses in English ONLY. If a candidate responds in any language other than English, the AI evaluation score will only impact communication score. So you still can use it for any other language.
Thank you.
Best,
Manoj
Q: Any final decision on integrating CNAME and White Labeling features?
Thanks!
Share Interviewer.AI
Hello Sumoling,
We appreciate your interest on the CName and white-labelling features.
Thank you.
Best,
Manoj
Thanks!

i am also interested in other use cases for this , video interviews for projects, pitching, ideation, ranking their quality and being able to export the video. This could also be used to
Hello Sumoling,
Thank you for your inquiry.
You can share video, CV, LinkedIn URL, AI evaluation using the Share candidate feature. Sharing a support link: http://support.interviewer.ai/article/digital-profiles
Hope it helps.

Hello Sumoling,
Thank you.

Q: Hi, Please could you answer the following.
1.When do you plan to add CNAME for custom domain and how many codes will be required to be purchased for it?
2. I can see the number of candidates per code who can apply for the job. However please also mention how many video questions each candidate can answer and also if there is a limit to each question in terms of length.
Looking forward to your response.
Best regards,
VP

I really like your product. REALLY Awesome idea!
Share Interviewer.AI
Hello Sumoling,
It makes us so happy to hear your thoughts and most importantly your valued suggestions.
Thank you.

Looking forward to your reply.
Share Interviewer.AI
Hello Sumoling,
Yes, its a video prescreening platform. However, the kind of questions you mentioned can be included in our Additional form questionnaire. I do not think we set a limit there, but more than 10 would get the candidates jump off their seat ;)
Let me know at hello@interviewer.ai if you need additional assistance with this.
Cheers!

Q: Hi, What accounts for 50 candidates per role in stack 1.
Does this mean that only 50 candidates can be invited for each role?
Share Interviewer.AI
Hello Sumoling,
50 candidates mean 50 candidate assessments in each interview. So you can create an interview, invite 50 candidates. Archive the interview and create a fresh interview and get more 50 candidates. Its as good as all you can eat but only on your live interviews.
Thank you.

Q: Hello, I'm planning to purchase one code at this time.
Am I going to be able to stack more codes later, even though the deal is closed? Thanks.
Share Interviewer.AI
Hello Sumo-ling,
If the deal is closed, then you may not be able to buy new codes on AppSumo. But stacking option will be available if you already purchased the code in advance.
In case of any challenges, feel free to reach me directly at manoj@interviewer.ai
Thank you

Q: I would like to stack some more codes but need German language.
I saw that you wrote about 2 month ago that German language will be released soon. On 9th october I saw that you still wrote that German language will be released soon. Is there a detailed date when the needed language will be released?
Share Interviewer.AI
Hello Sumo-ling,
We do expedite releases on our Annual deals as we get an immediate commitment to proceed and can direct our team to this implementation.

Q: I am a little bit confused What is the value of removing powered by Interviewer.
AI
As long as there is no option to have CNAME and the emails also will be sent from your domain?
I don’t know how to use it for my agency if I want to sell this service to my clients?
Is there a way to let candidates make their video interviews without knowing the software name?
Share Interviewer.AI
Hey Sumo-ling,
We get your sentiments. The whole purpose of removing the branding is to avoid confusion in the minds of candidates. When they receive an invitation for interview, they shouldn't be confused with the company name and the software name.
With respect to your query, we do not have the option of customising CNAME in our platform.
Thank you.

Manoj

So why cause confusion with a lesser tier?
Makes me want to stick to using something more organic.
1. Branding and Customisation:
Pick any deal and you can add your business logo and company information for your candidate's reference. Reference link: http://support.interviewer.ai/article/how-can-i-add-my-logo.
You can now go one step ahead!
In our latest deals, you can pick from Tier 4 and above to add this feature. You can remove our "Powered by Interviewer.AI" branding too.
2. CNAME & White labeling:
We never thought this would be of such great interest and it clearly shows your love towards us. We are exploring the options of CNAME, White labeling and managing multiple client domains under a single login. We will soon update you through our roadmap https://trello.com/b/1wttgzch/interviewerai-product-roadmap.
3. Assigned Limits:
Well, our limits are decent enough to meet a small business or agency needs.
Thank you.
Best,
Francesca

Would love to have CNAME feature as it's something everyone needs these days, especially on Appsumo. Btw, the reference link in Pt. 1 doesn't seem to work.
Thanks
