If you're working from home or hosting a podcast, you know how important it is to have a clean and clear audio recording. Whether you're on a video call or recording your next episode, you want to ensure that your audio is free of any background noise.

A little background, I run my setup from a next-generation Steinberg recording console and high-tier Aston condenser mic—which is not the best combo when you live in a noisy neighborhood. The mic would be so sensible even the barking of the next door unnecessarily well-dressed Chihuahua dog would be heard.

After missing out on Krisp, Clarity Audio came as a blessing. I would finally be able to have meetings without my colleagues overhearing the Chihuahua begging for snacks. However, the audio quality was shoddy when I first installed it, and the response from peers was not the greatest. The sound quality was nothing like the samples they have on their website. My voice sounded kind of robotic, and, at some point; it was better to have it off. As a product, Clarity Audio made big promises but was currently underdelivering.

But so it is with Beta products that make it to AppSumo. Thus, I decided to hold on to it. Boy, am I glad I did! After the v1.5.1 Mac update, performance has vastly improved, and I can now use it daily! No more vengeful barking on any of my calls.

Are there improvements to be made? Indeed, but for the beta-version, Iris Clarity is superb.

I only wish the number of seats was higher on all plans.
