How does it differ from what I use now (which already syncs across devices)? Is it easy to upload my existing data? Thanks

A: Hi! Upnote is a solid notes app — if notes are all you need, it does that well. Journal it! is quite different though: it's a full life organizer that includes notes, but also journal/timeline, daily planner, tasks, goals, habits, custom trackers, and dashboards — all connected together. So it's less of a "better notes app" and more of a different category.
I have never used any note-taking app. This might be a reason I find navigating through this app a bit overwhelming and confusing (Tier1). I saw a lot of people here also saying that they struggle with a steep learning curve. Current Youtube videos are a bit generic, fast-paced and they might make sense for experienced note-taking app users. For the rest of us … I am not so sure. Can you make 5-10...

A: Thanks for the suggestions! Currently I'm focusing on building, but the upcoming affiliate programming will be available soon, which should generate more tutorial videos. Stay tuned.
I am very interested in this, however it appears there is no MCP support at this time. Is it going to be added?
I would like to use this, but I would like to be able to tell my agent my ideas, plans, what has been done etc and it can then directly update the app for me. It would then also be able to read the app and tell me the focuses for the day, what needs doing etc and combine...

A: Hi,
It's not planned yet but it's something I'll look into with the AI integration features.
First of all, I really like Journalit—especially how it combines journaling, tasks, and ideas in one place. It’s one of the few apps that actually fits how my brain works. I wanted to check if there will be 1. API or MCP (Model Context Protocol) Integration I often work with AI tools like Claude and GPT, and it would be incredibly powerful if I could: Instantly push ideas, notes, or tasks from AI...

A: Hi,
Glad that your like it.
1. They're not planned yet but I'll look into. The API probably will be limited due to encryption though. MCP is more likely but it'll take a while.
2. Noted, thanks for the suggestion. I'll look into it.
Q: Do you have the ability to import old information from Evernote?
I would love to get rid of Evernote. I bought it a LONG time ago with a special rate. Now they are going up. I don't even use it but I don't want to lose all the data I put into it.
I would love to transfer the stuff that's important to me into Journal it!
Looks like you've done a great job with this. From one software developer to another, I'm VERY impressed with what I've seen so far.

Q: I currently use Upnote – is this tool better?
How does it differ from what I use now (which already syncs across devices)?
Is it easy to upload my existing data?
Thanks
