I remember Jasper use to have one with a really handy carry on writing feature like the one you currently have but you could do in WordPress etc. :)

If you want to work in WordPress: Junia can import posts/pages, and repost with the same post ID to create an updated version. I was sceptical at first, but it works extremely well. I use it all the time now. No plugin needed, you create an application password. I hate extra plugins, this is a great way to solve it. Tested it on my staging site and thenimmediately switched this to production, too.
