Title: Disappointing Experience with Katalist Storytelling Studio's Video Features

I've been using Katalist Storytelling Studio with high hopes, especially given the promises of transforming scripts into cinematic visual stories effortlessly. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfying.

One of the main features that drew me to this platform was its supposed ability to create detailed video storyboards from scripts. However, I was disappointed to find out that the video features are either not fully implemented or do not work as advertised. Despite the platform’s claims, the level of cinematic quality and seamless integration promised in their marketing materials seems to be missing entirely.

Moreover, the creators initially promised that the video features would be implemented at the beginning of the summer. Now, as we approach the end of the year, there have been no updates or progress on this front—or any other feature for that matter. It seems as though the project has been abandoned, leaving users like myself in the dark.

I've reached out multiple times to the creators for clarification and support regarding these issues. Sadly, my inquiries have gone unanswered. The lack of communication is frustrating and leaves me questioning the reliability of the service.

While the idea behind Katalist Storytelling Studio is innovative, the execution—especially for those of us interested in the video aspect—falls short. Until these promised features are actually implemented and the support team becomes more responsive, I cannot recommend this product to others who are looking for a reliable solution for creating visual stories.

I've started using this tool and can write in Japanese, but the output remains in English.

I bought Tier 2 of this when it was available last time. The support provided on Discord states that "xxx will be available soon" and "we are working on releasing it soon" but it just feels like things are very slow with the development.

This platform could be amazing and I had high hopes for it. It still has some great features. I am not sure why the limits have changed so much since the first deal because Tier 2 was unlimited and I hope this does not affect current subscribers.

I am now very cautious buying any AppSumo deals after broken promises from developers releasing their platforms and not delivering roadmaps.

They really need to be using the latest AI image generation models as well on this platform such as Mystic and Flux.

I bought Katalist Storytelling Studio License Tier 3, on 05.23.2024, and to this day they do not allow my visual histories to be exported as MP4 videos. Whenever I ask when this will be possible, the Katalist team says they are working on this and do not inform the right day that I will have access to the MP4 export. Please, want to solve this and fulfill the promise.

Have bought Tier 3 59 days ago. Interface is nice. Was waiting to test the video feature, the main reason for buying it (yeah, I know this wasn’t part from beginning but they introduced it and used it as kind of advertising.) Registered a few times for beta test, tried to get answers from support, but no date and no chance for testing. Well, answers came fast, but weren’t helpful in any way. So bad, that after Katalist stop selling here on AS they also stopped the support for Sumolings. I‘ll get my refund now.
