Go this thinking I could use it as a source of stock audio thinking it would pay itself off if I downloaded 3-4 great tracks or SFX items.
I had to refund as I struggled to find anything I would buy.
Here's my view:
- Poor selection overall and not great quality either. I also have Melod.ie and I've found that has a greater selection and much more refined tracks too.
- Poor search criteria and filters. Not able to search / filter based on instrument or BPM. Can filter by genre and mood though but that's not enough most of the time.
- Track quality was not so great. Not for any sort of professional production.
+ OK if you just want some audio for your Youtube Channel and want protection from Youtube's audio takedown policies. But it's not the greatest. I'd opt for Melod.ie instead.
+ Has some SFX whereas others don't. Not that they are great in selection or quality either.
I think this has it's place in a youtuber's toolbox if you want to get started quickly and need protection for audio etc.
This is probably due to their exclusivity agreement so that there aren't other libraries out there with access to these tracks. This is the root of the problem with many providers like this - poor performing tracks get chucked into these exclusive libraries to make a quick buck while they are pretty worthless. Some curators do actually have great tracks but I can't say this from my experience with keyframe audio so far. I'd try it out and try to find 2-3 tracks I really like in 1 hr. If you can't, refund it. If you do find something you like, it may be worth it for you.
