Q: Product Down Since Nov 25 and No Update From AppSumo
Can AppSumo provide a clear status update on Keyword Discovery by SEO Co-Pilot? I purchased the product 23 Nov 2024 and reported the downtime on 25 Nov 25. The website is offline. The product owner confirmed the company is closed. I shared this information with AppSumo support. I have not received any update on next steps. I want to know the expected timeline for a resolution or refund options.
Get a refund while you can. I commented in a similar complaint/thread - the company is dead. A third-party took over without board consent and arbitrarily closed the company.
exactly i was the one who notified to sumo team about the company shutdown becasue i was in touch with josh. The main issue is sumo is denied for refunding with the justification of this deal was “self listed” and therefore not covered under their We Got Your Back Guarantee. However at the time of purchase the product page did not inform buyers that it was self listed or excluded from protection

I understand that others have already alerted AppSumo about this issue a couple of weeks ago, however, I'm wanting to know what the fix is? It is unlikely we'll regain access to the app/program, so I'm assuming we'll be getting a full credit back for our purchase from AppSumo?

Credibility matters the offers look attractive, but buyers need confidence that the products will stay available and supported most of the products disappears from appsumo end when buyers got to know form other sources appsumo denied for the refund

Exactly sumo team position yourselves as gatekeepers and still guarantee vetting and protection for buyers. If you let deals fail without alerting customers and then put blame on vendors, your vetting process and customer protection claims lose all credibility. Buyers expect transparency not excuses

I reached out to Josh directly and he told me that the company is dead. According to him, a third-party took over and closed the business.
Q: The system is gone and the owner can't recover
Unfortunately, this app is finished as the owner has lost control or something. We need to get Appsumo to claim back our payments
