Misleading Product and Zero Transparency. Makes me wondering if all these 5 star reviews are legitimate
My experience with Kiwilaunch has been extremely disappointing and misleading from start to finish.
The features shown on their AppSumo product page simply do not exist in the actual version I received. The setup options and booking features they advertise, including the quote-style funnel shown in their screenshots are nowhere to be found in the real product. After spending hours trying to make it work, I’m still unable to recreate what was promised at the time of purchase.
What’s worse, Kiwilaunch expects customers to pay additional third-party developers to get the product properly configured, even though it was marketed as a lifetime deal (LTD) with “no technical setup required.” On top of that, they still charge a 10% commission on top of the LTD, which makes absolutely no sense.
I contacted support multiple times, but instead of providing clear guidance or accountability, I was told that assisted onboarding isn’t offered, even though the advertised setup experience was meant to be simple and self-guided.
This experience has made me seriously question the credibility of AppSumo’s listings and reviews. If AppSumo continues to promote products like this, it undermines buyer trust across the entire platform.
I’ve left my feedback publicly because it’s unacceptable for AppSumo and Kiwilaunch to market a product one way and deliver something completely different, all while wasting customers’ time and money.
In short: misleading marketing, missing features, poor support, and a complete mismatch between what’s sold and what’s delivered. I am leaving this review in Oct 2025. Hope this concern gets addressed!
>> My response to the developers 1st and 2nd responses
Thank you for responding, but your reply doesn’t address the real issue. My concern is not about technical skill or comfort with setup. The problem is that the features shown in your AppSumo listing simply don’t exist in the actual version of Kiwilaunch available to buyers. The product visuals and marketing clearly present a quote-style booking flow, yet the platform itself doesn’t include that functionality.
I work with a web developer, and even he couldn’t locate the options or tools required to recreate what’s shown in your product images. That alone should show this isn’t about the users technical experience but rather misleading advertising and unclear product tutorial information.
You mentioned Kiwilaunch doesn’t operate as a quote-style funnel, but that distinction was never made clear on AppSumo. The listing gives the impression that those features are included. Buyers should not have to hire a third-party developer to achieve what was promoted as a no-code, ready-to-use solution.
Your explanation about the 1% commission and assisted onboarding doesn’t change the fact that what was marketed and what was delivered are not the same. My feedback stands: Kiwilaunch and AppSumo should update the product page to accurately reflect the platform’s actual capabilities so future buyers are not misled and do not waste time on something that is listed as a no code LTD.
So far they did not offer a genuine solution, only explanations and justifications.

Edited Oct 17, 2025Hello! I must admit I was quite surprised by this review.
While I understand everyone has different levels of technical comfort, I’d like to clarify a few things for anyone reading.
What you refer to as “step-by-step technical support” is actually what we call assisted onboarding — typically a 2–3 hour guided session. Kiwi, like any content creation platform, does assume a very basic level of web familiarity — essentially filling out forms and navigating simple menus. I understand this can feel challenging for some users, which is why many AppSumo buyers are actually agencies who resell and implement for their clients.
Since it wasn’t possible to provide the assisted onboarding in your case, I suggested external help — not out of indifference, but out of practicality and goodwill. It was the most efficient route for you to get going, and I would have given the same suggestion for software you wanted to buy and use.
Kiwi is consistently praised for its simplicity and ease of setup by hundreds of verified users, but of course, experiences vary — and your review is a useful reminder that no matter how easy we make it, it will never be easy enough for everyone

Hello again, and thank you for updating your review.
Just to clarify a few points for anyone reading — Kiwi doesn’t operate on a quote-style funnel; it’s a direct booking platform, which is clearly stated on the deal page.
We also don’t charge any 10% commission (obviously) — our fee is 1% only, and it’s fully transparent.
Kiwi has never required users to pay third-party agencies. For anyone with even basic experience using webforms, setup is entirely self-service. My earlier suggestion for external help was simply an attempt to tailor support to your comfort level — not to dismiss you. I can see how it might have come across differently, and my takeaway is to avoid sounding dismissive even when my intent is to be pragmatic and solution-oriented.
Every single review here is genuine, many from users with dozens of verified AppSumo purchases — people who understand how to evaluate a product fairly.
I do apologize once again if my suggestion offended you; it wasn’t condescending, just a genuine effort to help you get results faster. Your reaction makes it clear that it felt personal, and I respect that. Still, it’s uncommon to see such a harsh review simply because onboarding couldn’t be completed — most would have taken a refund and moved on.
Even in our third year, I’m still learning — and this, too, is part of the journey.
