A big update rolled out this week, and it was shaped directly by your feedback. Special thanks to Squirtle, whose detailed review pushed us to fix something that mattered: stale and closed grants were showing up as if they were still open. That's now fixed.

Here's what changed:

• Only open grants by default. Your grant list and search now surface currently-open opportunities — closed, expired, and long-unverified listings no longer clutter the view. (They're still there for research via a "show past" toggle — nothing was deleted.)

• Automatic dead-link detection. We now check apply links regularly, so grants pointing to broken or removed pages get flagged and hidden instead of wasting your time.

• A real re-crawl cycle. Sources get refreshed on a schedule, so nothing sits stale for months. No more grants that closed ages ago looking "active."

• Smarter AI assistant. The grant chat now focuses on opportunities you can actually apply to right now — not historical ones.

• Optional 2FA. Phone-based two-factor is no longer forced for Grant Pro accounts. Turn it on if you want it in your profile; it's your call.

The result: cleaner data you can trust, so the time you spend in the platform goes toward real opportunities.
