Building LaunchMyStore 2.0 has been one of the most challenging and meaningful journeys for us.

When we first started LaunchMyStore, our goal was simple: make ecommerce easier, faster, and more affordable for business owners who want to launch online without complicated tools, high monthly costs, or heavy transaction fees.

But with LaunchMyStore 2.0, we wanted to go much further. We didn't just want to build another ecommerce platform. We wanted to build a platform that gives founders, creators, small businesses, and growing brands the power to create a professional online store with modern ecommerce flexibility, high-performance storefronts, and a simple visual store-building experience.

That is why we built LaunchMyStore 2.0 around our own Aqua Templating Engine. Aqua allows LaunchMyStore to render and support Liquid-based themes, including themes built for alternate commerce platforms such as Shopify and similar ecosystems. What are past projects, failures, or successes you’ve had in your career?

I began my professional journey as the Head of E-commerce for a business called Wholesale Bazar, which specialized in ethnic suits. This role was foundational for me—I gained hands-on experience managing WooCommerce-based websites, dealing with e-commerce logistics, customer service challenges, and optimizing for conversions. It taught me the nuances of operating an online business, especially in a niche retail space. After that, I founded a marketing agency focused on promoting decentralized coins. This was during the early wave of blockchain adoption, and I learned a great deal about digital marketing strategies tailored to the crypto audience, including community engagement, influencer marketing, and regulatory considerations. In 2021, I launched a product called NFTwatcher—a tool designed to analyze the rarity of NFTs and estimate pricing based on supply and demand. It was well received among early NFT traders and collectors, and I gained deep insight into Web3 user behavior, technical product development, and market timing. I exited this venture just before the Russia-Ukraine war, as the market started showing signs of volatility. Each of these projects helped me build a diverse skill set—from e-commerce operations to digital marketing and product innovation in emerging tech.

We’re currently fully bootstrapped, which has allowed us to build lean, stay focused, and maintain full control over our direction. This approach has helped us validate our product-market fit without external pressure. That said, we’re open to seeking funding once we reach a valuation that aligns with the long-term vision of the business and allows us to scale on our own terms

Our product has been built entirely from scratch and is not critically dependent on any third-party tools at the moment While we may integrate external APIs such as OpenAI or services in the future to enhance functionality, our core infrastructure and features are fully self-reliant

Our visual builder is clean, accessible, and beginner-friendly, but also allows advanced users to dive deep into full code editing when needed. We’re committed to giving them the best possible version of the product for the value they’ve invested. For years, I’ve watched countless small businesses and entrepreneurs struggle to take their ideas online.

What should have been a straightforward process often turned into a frustrating maze of complex platforms, steep learning curves, and skyrocketing costs.

This wasn’t just an observation—I had lived it too.

The Lightbulb Moment

Having spent years in the digital innovation and e-commerce space, I worked closely with business owners who were eager to take their first steps online.

Yet time and again, I witnessed the same challenges. Existing e-commerce platforms promised the world but delivered unnecessary complexity:

• Tools that required technical expertise to navigate.
• Expensive features that most businesses never needed or used.
