Had high hopes, but builder is not ready

I had really high hopes, was excited cause I need a very simple website to sell 2 products, so I bought tier 2. Right now I am still undecided if I am going to keep it.
Everything looks good, easy to use and navigate. Everything, except the builder. To build my webpages I usually use Thrive Themes or Elementor, so I might be a bit spoiled.

First yes I am talking about the new Builder in Beta, and here is a few examples of why I say it is still not as useful as needed.
For example to create a hero section, you can't place an image and then text over it, all the Hero sections in their templates the text is in the image.
Same for buttons
Yes it is drag and drop but not of elements, just but of sections. I mean you can drag and drop the featured products section , but not a button into that section or rearrenge it by drag and drop.
You can not change your brand color pallet, you need to go color by color changing each element
Of course I am not aiming for an elementor level builder, but for example some CRMs like brevo or getresponse allow you to build the newsletter template way easier.
Also it would be great if we could save or build our own templates.
Also if you customize the website header in the homepage it does not replicate to other pages or when you add another header, same for other sections.

Like I said still undecided if I am going to keep it or not, it is a very difficult decision, I won't be able to use it yet but it does have a lot of potential. I went back to Thrivethemes + woo commerce.

what to do, what to do...

The Builder is still in Beta and right now it focuses on ease of use and quick setup, but it can feel limiting if you’re looking for deeper control. With Snippets (launching this week in LaunchMyStore), you’ll be able to enable advanced customization on top of the current builder. This will give you flexibility to add your own styles, layouts, and functionality beyond the default templates.

As for templates, you can already add images and hover text—it depends on the theme being used. For example, some themes like Travelo rely heavily on images, which might be why you’re seeing that limitation. You can try another theme or even build one from scratch. Take this store for example: chicute.com to see what’s possible.

Rest assured, we’re constantly improving the Builder and adding new features. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out at support@launchmystore.io—we’ll be happy to help.
