Q: Difference with Arcade Software

Hello, I noticed that Layerpath is very similar to another product called Arcade Software (you can google the name and it’ll come out top).

Can you tell me how you differ from this competitor?

They seem to offer some highly requested features, like being able to record more than just a single tab on the browser but any app/screen on the desktop, or being able to record our own face and adding it in the corner of the demo, etc.

Will you soon be offering any of these features as well?

Perhaps you can research them and add some of their strong selling points into Layerpath to drive development and improvements further.

A: Hi there,

Thank you for your question and for noticing the similarities! Here’s how Layerpath stands out:

We provide an all-in-one platform that connects self-serve interactive demos (Tours), step-by-step guides, aka SOPs (Guides), and social media-styled videos (Videos)—all at one price. Unlike Arcade, we offer a lifetime deal (LTD), which they don’t and likely never will.

While Arcade has been around for ~5 years with $24M in funding and a larger team, we’re a young startup in our pre-seed stage, just a year into this journey with a small but passionate team of four.

Regarding the features you've highlighted, such as recording full screens, applications, and including face recording, we have some of these planned in our roadmap. They will be released gradually, depending on demand and our product strategy. We aim not to simply add features but to create a sustainable and stable product that evolves alongside our community.

We’re always looking to learn and improve, and your input helps us refine our offerings. If you have more suggestions or use cases, feel free to share—we’d love to hear them!

Thank you for being part of our journey!

Many thanks Vinay, your product looks impressive. I'll probably be going with Tier 3. Keep going:
