Q: Hi, Layerpath Where are Layerpath offices located?

Are your developers located in those offices or elsewhere?

Do you have a roadmap?

A: 1. You can find our office locations in the “Company and product FAQs” on the AppSumo deal page: “Our global headquarters are in Austin, TX, and our R&D headquarters are in Chennai, India.” I’m curious to know how the developers’ location affects your interest in our product or customer service.

2. We’ve shared our public roadmap in several responses, but here’s the link again: https://layperpath.canny.io/future-roadmap. Please share any suggestions or vote for features you’d like us to develop next. Thank you!

Location request may be in relation to EU GDPR requirements or embargoed countries.
I wouldn't be able to use you with a team as their personal data is not held in compliance with EU GDPR.

Knowing where our data is stored and processed makes sense, but it doesn’t make a big difference where the founders or developers are based, as long as we process the data securely. 1/2

Under GDPR, data can be stored in the US or non-EU countries if processed securely with adequate safeguards like Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). Compliance focuses on data protection, not the physical location, ensuring no personal identifiable information (PII) of EU citizens is mishandled. 2/2

Vinay, I wish it were as simple as you say, but having SCCs in place is just a start. Then, it comes down to due diligence and checking suppliers and processes, which is difficult when they are based in countries where it is hard to obtain and verify information. I have no issue with allowing my data, but I have to look at liability with client data and potential loss.
Really love Layerpath!!!

Thanks for highlighting this. I understand it’s not as simple as having the SCCs in place; it’s just a start. It depends on the company’s decision to buy a product and if they want the data to be in a certain location. 1/3

Data security and location become paramount as businesses grow, especially in regulated industries. I’ve worked in two of the world’s largest B2B SaaS companies, including a public one and a multi-billion dollar company, which were initially not in the EU. 2/3

We’ve navigated strict GDPR implementations in these companies. I acknowledge your concerns and appreciate your understanding. Thank you for loving Layerpath! We’d love a review on AppSumo. Thank you! 3/3
