I’d been more disappointed than not with recent appsumo purchases and so was a little wary about this one. Thank goodness I decided to try it out! It is superb for capturing random ideas that pop into my brain (notes, scenes, character points for a book I’ve been working on or blog post thoughts or training material content)…

I usually just ramble on and then rewrite « slightly » which lays out text, cuts the yap, but keeps my best words.

It would be great to have tags etc but at the same time, I love the « one button » simplicity. So what I do is start by blurting the title of the book/project and then the nature of my ramble (marketing idea, dialogue, new scene, etc.) and then I proceed with my brain dump.

If you’re a creative person or someone with ADHD, you can appreciate that my work isn’t linear. Instead, my mind hops from one project to another, and the thoughts come with a sense of urgency. So being able to « capture » them, and now that they’re already edited to make sense is a relief and joy.

I would appreciate being able to synchronize the app on different devices (having different files in separate places would recreate chaos for me). In anticipation of that, I may grab a second tier.

In any case, if it didn’t evolve from where it is, I’d still be fine with it.

And to those criticizing the « high cost » of this app… first off, $59 makes this one of the more accessible apps. Secondly, consider « value ». This app saves me energy and time, worth exponentially more!
