Surprisingly useless to me
After testing this intensively motivated and although it is not a browser, with Sidekick (also on Appsumo) I'm doing even more which it's and also for a tiny fraction of the price, so I'm in shock, ...and no this is not a competitors bad review with bad intentions!
- What bothers me the most is that LiftOS has no ''OS'' (operating system) at all, no ability to preview files hosted in your cloud, this is 100% unacceptable, so much hosting and having to open and click every each file individually to be able to be previewed, no real file icon, just a generic icon for each type, this is too poor to be real.
- Links don't work, only embedded links, another big and no-go limitation being not a browser.
- The design is very good, amazing and I love it!
Overall, unfortunately I find myself returning LiftOS at its highest Tier 4, in it I was looking for an app that would provide good OS-like file management and hosting (something not complicated to implement) but I just have to add my other cloud to a page in each Sidekick project, and then it will do way more than LiftOS.

Jun 13, 2024Hey Gar, very sorry for the experience. It seems like you were looking for a browser or a hardware-integrated local file hosting system, unfortunately we are neither. We try to bridge your web (links / embeds), tools and people in one productivity OS (in the cloud).
We compare more to Notion than Sidekick - and we are doing improvements every week to go more towards a unified productivity ecosystem.
Just launched a reworked file preview system and whiteboards yesterday - if you ever decide to come back happy to ideate together on how you can utilise liftOS 🫶
