Q: Is the Chrome Plugin LinkedIn-Safe?

Hi,
After testing other Chrome plugins that caused my LinkedIn profile to be blocked, I would like to know if you have resolved this issue with LinkedIn?

I also find the current post limit too restrictive, since I normally publish 1–2 times per day and what is the 10% off?

Best,
Marcus

A: Hi Marcus,

We take the compliance part quite seriously. You can read the fine print here: https://ligo.ertiqah.com/blog/ligo-chrome-extension-compliance-update

Primarily because I and a lot of my clients use it as well, I wouldn't my own account or that of my key connections to be 'restricted'.

That said, a few key things to note:

1. If you use other extensions or automations alongside LiGo, you might still get restricted or banned. Since pretty much 98% of the other tools I've tried personally do the biggest violation of LinkedIn's ToS and that is: storing authentication cookies of the user to perform actions. If LiGo's the only tool that you use - then there's only one other thing you need to be careful about:

2. Not doing "too many actions" in a single day. Because even if you do them manually, LinkedIn will still think it's a "bot". This is just a suggestive note because i've seen a dozen posts from people complaining about that in my feed (not ligo users, just general posts in my feed). Where someone who was literally manually sending out DMs to people who had commented under their post (for a lead magnet) - and linkedin gave them the "bot" warning.

Another guy who just naturally comments 100+ times per day (without any tools) - got the warning.

I've time and again seen "150 actions/day" as the safe limit. Which if you cross even manually without any tools .. you'd be flagged.

Outside of that, LiGo itself is compliant.

I hope this answer helps, not just for your decision on ligo, but generally with your linkedin goals and activities as well.

Cheers,
Junaid

Hi, thanks for taking the time to give me valuable information. That said, does it also work with free Linkedin account, and if you could also reply to this part: I also find the current post limit too restrictive, since I normally publish 1–2 times per day and what is the 10% off? Thanks in advance..

Seems like I got carried away answering the first question, sorry.

1. Free LinkedIn account: yes, it does. You don't need LinkedIn subscription for any feature of ligo to work.
2. Post Limit: If you're doing that on the weekends too, then I'd say you're a power user. But tier 3 should cover that. By the way, to expand on the post generation a bit:
- there's multiple ways to generate posts via l

.. igo

a. rewrite/repurpose content (5 per month for all tiers)
b. chat with your linkedin data; you could use those chats to generate posts too
c. the 50/month in Tier 3 is for the "primary" post generation workflow i.e. turning the ligo generated ideas into posts
d. all posts have up to 6 variants (usually i personally publish one variant right away, and another for 2-3 months down the lane)

And the 10% off is the scheduling add-on. It's offered at $4/month, billed annually - available for all AppSumo users who want to use our scheduler, instead of the native linkedin scheduler or a tool like buffer, etc. to cover the scheduling part.
