Q: Quick question on plan and safety

1. A bunch of LinkedIn tools/extensions from AppSumo got banned recently. How likely is it that this one won't get banned? Are you following LinkedIn's terms and conditions to keep our profiles safe?
2. When we buy from AppSumo, do we get the standard or pro plan?

A: Hi Mohit,

1. This one requires ... a detailed answer, so please bear with me.
- We use LinkedIn's official API for publishing & scheduling.
- We don't automate any action whatsoever, neither comments, nor any "likes, connection requests, etc.", which is considered as "bot activity" by LinkedIn.
- We don't inject anything into LinkedIn's DOM (we used to in the early days when we didn't know that even that is against LinkedIn's ToS). Now, users have to "right-click" and then perform the action - which is compliant.
- We only suggest comments in the sidebar for convenience (same as for instance, if you copied the post, went to chatgpt, wrote a prompt, got some replies, came back, and made the comment) - LinkedIn doesn't mind that. What it does mind is people "automating" it i.e. you're not using LinkedIn but comments, like and other actions are happening in the background via your LinkedIn account. We do, nor offer, any such features.
- We do not use authentication cookies/tokens of the user. The only action for which we need access to a user's Linkedin account is for publishing or scheduling a LinkedIn post. And we do that with LinkedIn's official API.

There's two articles I personally wrote on this topic a few months ago:
1. https://ligo.ertiqah.com/blog/ligo-chrome-extension-compliance-update
2. https://ligo.ertiqah.com/blog/best-kleo-alternative-linkedin-chrome-extension

And to answer your second question:
Tier 1 and Tier 2 are basically mapping of the Standard Plan. Tier 3 is a mapping to the Pro plan.

Does that answer your questions?

Cheers!

Taplio, ZoomInfo, Apollo, Kleo (these were the major ones)

And there were quite a few that were "smaller" and never made it to the news
