this feels like a bait-and-switch and potentially fraudulent behavior

I purchased 5 stacks of the Lindo.ai lifetime deal through AppSumo for almost $499 USD, expecting lifetime access, lifetime updates, and the license benefits advertised at the time of purchase.

Unfortunately, Lindo.ai now appears to be separating AppSumo LTD customers into what they call “Lindo Legacy,” which they describe as the older template-based builder, while the current and future direction of the platform — including the new agentic AI website builder, advanced AI features, future agents, and key innovation — is being placed behind a new paid/credit-based structure.

To me, this feels like a bait-and-switch. We did not purchase a “Legacy” product. We purchased a Lindo.ai lifetime deal through AppSumo. Keeping the old version online while moving the main product and future innovation to a separate paid plan does not feel like honoring the original lifetime deal in good faith.

This is especially concerning for customers like us who purchased one of the highest AppSumo tiers. If a company sells a lifetime deal with future updates and then later redefines the original product as “Legacy” while charging again for the new version, AppSumo should seriously investigate this.

In my opinion, AppSumo and affected customers should consider taking action against Lindo.ai if the original LTD terms are not honored. This situation feels misleading and potentially fraudulent, and it damages trust in both the vendor and the marketplace.

I strongly recommend that AppSumo review this case carefully and require Lindo.ai to honor the original lifetime deal terms, especially for customers who purchased 5 stacks.
