Q: Creating trackable branded URLs without site access
Hi, I run ads for clients that link back to their websites. Their URLs are too long, so I want to use your software to create a shorter, brandable URL that then redirects to the client's website.
The issue is that I do not have access to the client's backend, so I am not able to make any changes in the settings of their site.
Using your software:
1) Can I just create a branded URL and enter the client's actual URL as the redirect and still get analytics for how many people clicked or manually entered the branded URL I created?
2) Also, does this software have to be installed in WP to work, or do you have a stand-alone web app that can be accessed via the browser to track analytics?

Wordpress Plugin is only required when you want to use the SAME domain for both the website and short URLs, in typical use cases, this is not needed. (Most of our users use a different domain or a different sub domain for short URLs).
In you case, you can create branded short URLs using sub domain or a new domain. For example, if your client is mycompany.com, you can use link.mycompany.com or mycompany.link (this require you to buy a new .link domain). This would still require two new DNS entries, but would not require backend access.
