The Joy of Links - UPDATED REVIEW

I really like LinkJoy, it's a bag of potential that's not quite there yet but on its way. A bit like a baby deer when it tries walking for the first few times 🦌
After 5 minutes, I was able to build a bio-link. It comes with templates and some of them are good starting points. The platform is easy to use.
The design options are a bit limited(or buried?) but the deal is a bargain. Without full control of colours, it's very unlikely I'd use this for anything so that really needs to be dealt with.
In fact, I'm surprised how many deals for marketing tools appear without that functionality given how fundamental it is to BRANDS, you know, those things that we're marketing? I don't just want blue, I want my shades of blue that have been carefully matched to the other colours in my brand palette.
Brand isn't something I'd ever compromise on and with any marketing tools, like this, I'd expect that to be a priority.
Pros:
🌮From the trusty folk behind ClientJoy who are a good team!
🌮 It's a hella deal for unlimited biolinks.
🌮 Loads of templates to base your biolink on.
🌮Adding and removing blocks is easy enough but if you change your text to white, you can't see the text you've inputted 😂I thought I was losing my mind.
🌮 Retargeting functionality is pretty cool and a welcome addition.
🌮 CNAMES for each biolink 🔥
Cons / Improvements:
🤷🏼‍♂️ I couldn't really see any integrations, you can input snippets and tracking codes which is great and all but I have all these other tools for good reason.
🤷🏼‍♂️ If you upload a picture with the wrong dimensions it squishes it so for a moment I was looking wonkier than usual. I'd prefer to be able to crop it to the proportions required, inside the tool.
🤷🏼‍♂️You can only select certain colours for things like the text, though in the templates I can see other colours used...so I'm not where they're at?
🤷🏼‍♂️ UI needs some work. You select a template and it's fiddly to change the existing blocks, again the colour controls seem to be somewhere else maybe?
It feels like early-ish days for LinkJoy but it's looking pretty cool.
4 tacos
If LinkJoy matures, with a little time and care, this could be massive for agencies, especially as it's such a generous deal with ambitious goals.
However, if the colour options aren't updated or easier to access in the UI, I may refund my codes as it makes me look like a bit of clown trying to persuade clients that my choice of green is better than the one in their brand guidelines that cost them £2,000 😂
Unless of course, they're buried in the UI somewhere? Which isn't the greatest for usability...
If verified purchaser goes, I'll have refunded, keep your hair on Billy 🙄
