For a small business, this is awesome. A single mailbox can be maintained by 2 agents (or more) so customers get mails from one email (but different names though). FB messages, chats, calls all get pulled in one place. I also signed up for a phone service (recommended VOIP service on their site) and the cost of a toll free number went waaaay down. Earlier I used google voice professional at $10 per month but now it is a few cents per call worldwide, not just US. I can monitor the emails, calls, chats which I never did before and relied completely on the agent and trusting them when customers got angry. Now I can correct them, or jump in if something is getting out of hand.
Get liveagent, nothing else is needed - no other chat service, support numbers. When we grow, I will gladly buy more seats at the full price. Good work by the team pulling together many aspects of customer service in one place.
