Q: Hi.
I have just tried scraping with this software and firstly I want to say that it works perfectly and it is great. I hope to be using it soon. I have a few suggestions that would be good additions to the software (I have only used it with Google Maps so far):
Issues:
The only issue I have found so far is that when the software gives review examples, sometimes it says "...More" because it didn't click to read more of the review. Apart from that the software is really good.
Ideas of things that could be added:
- how long ago the latest review was posted
This can be used for personalization when reaching out, like saying "I see that you last got a review 2 days ago as of writing this email."
- number of negative reviews (1 to 2 stars)
This can be used for personalization, for example: "You currently have 9 negative reviews. Negative reviews can harm your ranking."
- examples of 3 negative reviews
This will help because we can use AI to give a summary of negative things people are saying about a business, and then we can include this in an email when reaching out to them, like: "Your customers are saying that they are not happy with the speed at which the food gets brought to them."
- number of positive reviews (4 to 5 stars)
Can be used to help convince them that they need to get more positive reviews: "We see that you have 49 positive reviews. We can help you to increase this number to increase your reputation and help you rank better on Google Maps"
- examples of 3 positive reviews
This would be useful because then we could use AI to generate a custom positive compliment for each business, like "Your customers are saying that your food is great and your staff are very kind, that is great! We love working with businesses that make their customers satisfied."

May 23, 2024A: Thanks so much for the feedback. I can certainly look into this, right now the program is limited in its ability to get reviews because they are on a different page and we haven't been loading that page to save scraping time. It's something to look into for the future as an optional checkbox to enable looking for reviews.
Another error is that it says "Undefined or invalid parameter - num_stars" when giving the scores of the current review examples. But they are the only errors that I have found so far.
This is an error with google right now, not with the scraper. I could program around it but i expect them to fix it. We are scraping the "aria-label=" of an element and that is now the next instead of the proper number.
Very good ideas!
