A: A few of these have gone in and out of LocalScraper over the years. We had HomeAdvisor in the past and then they redesigned their website and removed ALL business details except for a few paid results. Making their data completely useless and inaccessible. HomeAdvisor only makes money if you hire a contractor through their leads funnel. They have done everything possible to remove any business data not in this paid funnel to keep you from getting any useful details to contact them.

Another issue is that these sites Yelp and HomeAdvisor have paid for very high levels of anti-scraper/bot protections. This requires the use of paying for advanced proxy services which many customers are not familiar with and don't want to pay for. The program supported these services and the ReadMe page told customers which ones to use but it was hard explaining to customers while some scrapers can work easy out of the box with no extra costs, not all of them could. One easy solution is that Yahoo Local uses data from Yelp and TripAdvisor so if you wanted Yelp data you can use Yahoo Local as your target and get the same data.

I am of course always looking at adding and removing sites as things change, the data scraping world is very dynamic and I try to always provide the best product I can to customers through these changes.
