Q: I want to create automations for clients.
Some of the sheets that I am working on have been created by a different author (in client's company), but share with me. Can I use this automation for shared sheets?

It is recommended that the owner of the spreadsheet installs Logic Sheet but it's not required. Only the user who creates the automation needs a Logic Sheet license.
If you no longer want the original person who shared the Google Sheet to have ownership or access, you can make a copy of the file.
Then you will own the copy and control access.
This would become your new working version.
Thanks for the input!
