limit of 16 pages to make a summary
I bought it only to summarize the textbooks I need to read so I can save time. I have been playing around with the app to make a chapter by chapter summary with action steps for the textbooks. After uploading the textbook and connecting it to the specific chatbot, I wait for it to load completely before making a prompt. I use powerful mode all the time.
I usually get a response that says "While the specific content of the chapter is not available in the provided parts of the document, I can provide a general summary based on the typical content covered in this type of chapter."
Support has been responsive. They responded that "Afforai can search through documents to find pieces of the book that assist with answering questions. After which Afforai will pick the best 16 pages to use on its answer. From what I gathered in the conversation with the chatbot, it seems that the scope of the question is more than 16 pages, as such the AI answers with a bit of reluctance."
I will still play around with the app for a few more days and see if it's worth keeping. I hope they fix this problem in the future.

Hi Kathniss , thank you for the honest review. I really appreciate your honest thoughts as this is exactly how my team and I can learn to make Afforai better.
I do want to provide you a bit more context on how our Powerful Mode works. Powerful Mode is an Algorithm + AI approach that helps the AI understand context and answer questions about metadata and preform deeper search. A context passed for Powerful Mode is 4x times that of Normal Mode (query model), and the number of Indexing Model call in Powerful mode is also more in Powerful Mode.
So every time you ask Afforai, it would scan through all the documents you have connected to the chatbot, select the most relevant knowledge (implicit and explicit information) across all your documents, condense it into 16 pages worth of context window to give you the info you're looking for. We have plans to expand this context window to increase performance.
Your use case is really realistic and I think with prompt engineering, breaking down the steps, and prime the chatbot up, it should be able to do what you want:
Here's how I would approach this use case:
1. Give me the table of contents of [name of your document]
2. Give me the most important points about [chapter X]
That's the outline at least on what I mean by priming the chatbot since having it do it all in one go is probably not possible, yet.
