Not kidding.

The platform is no longer working and the emails don't get an answer. This "lifetime" deal lasted about a year...

It doesn't seem right. Appsuo either needs to better vet its sellers or find solutions for deadbeat sellers.

Usually i get connection timeout or it's working very slowly. Waste of time & money.

too slow and usually get error keyword research and can not work

Read the reviews, thought I'd take it for a spin despite the negative feedback.

Given the feedback provided I decided to test it with a very general keyword, "yoga", which returns thousands of suggestions on keyword chef & WriterZen .

"No keyword suggestions found for your seed keywords. Try shortening your search terms or using more common phrases."

Quickest refund I've ever made.

I have a lot of keyword research tools in my arsenal and when using a new saas, I sometimes compare them. But with Longtailpro, there was almost nothing to compare because sometimes no results were rendered, or results were way off my seed keyword, and even if I got some better results a lot of obvious options were not even mentioned. When I used the tool for Dutch keyword research it was completely lacking, since it just doesn't give any results half of the time...

For example I used : "dangerous animals" (in Dutch) : no results available, but when I use Lowfruits, I get 332, when using Keywordchef, I have almost 300, searching in Ubersuggest offers me a list of 92 possible keywords. And that is without even using my own modifiers...

I have to honest that I did not use any of the other functions of Longtailpro, since I have others tools for those, but I will be refunding my maxtier. This is just sad and not appsumo-worthy.

Despite all of the bad reviews I decided to give this a shot to see if the reviews primary complaints were addressed.. the keyword search results are still extremely low even when looking at very broad keyword search phrases.. I literally tried searching "gaming" and was only able to get 32 results...

I was already hesitant to trust this based on the reviews and due to the fact that an 11 year old tool is all of the sudden on appsumo as a LTD and the fact that the ownership changed from the founded to the new group.. unfortunately, the negative reviews here seem to warranted. I do hope the current owners are able to figure things out, but for now it's not for me..

I am not really happy with the product. The costumer service does NOT reply. I read a comment on Facebook from on longtail's site from someone who waits already since ONE YEAR for an answer. I guess this way is the only way to get the costumer service running. I NEED AN ANSWER TO MY QUESTION I SENT TO YOU GUYS. I find it really B A D not replying to your costumers. Your product is not really working. If I search for keywords I am not getting really a result. The app gives repeats only what I tiped in. 5 NEGATIVE TACOS!

Hello again. My previous review should remain to provide context regarding the situation.

I believe there have been many teething problems with this launch. These resulted in many angry reviews and a lot of disappointment. AppSumo launches can be pretty exhausting as I understand.

Anyway, I decided to review my review in light of the progress I have seen since these problems occurred. LTP seems to have poured quite a bit of effort into developing the platform further. This is the essence of LTDs. We often expect a mature product but that's the cost of an LTD - you get to be part of the bug squad and an early "investor" with these risks. The reward is the lifetime access to a tool with expanding features.

The keyword search limits were indeed misleading and kudos to the AppSumo team for quickly fixing the wording in the description to reflect that better.

LTP's upgrades seem to be working for me now and I can see a ton of value in this tool. I'm glad I decided to hang in there and wait it out as they seem to be trying to revamp the platform and add value we weren't expecting.

Having said that, the launch was certainly a bit of a poor do, so I believe 4 tacos is a fair assessment for the time being.

I really hope to see LTP flourish with new upgrades. Who knows, maybe I get to upgrade this review again!

I bought this, and noticed that the limits were not as advertised. I bought Tier 1 and only got a maximum of 100 pages per crawl instead of the 1000 advertised, also other limits were incorrect. I spent a week trying to get these sorted out with support, and in the end I lost confidence having not heard from anyone in three working days, so refunded.

I think I dodged a bullet to be honest.

If the keyword of 5k does not reset every month how is it 5000 searches per month? Initially, I thought they were dealing with too many people and requests but they really don't want to offer an unlimited deal to sumolings.

Good for broad keywords topics. It helps find related keywords or subtopics with low competition.
Bad for specific product keywords. For more narrow keywords doesn't have enought data to generate results.
I expect LTP to get results such as:
- product name + feature
- product name + feature + tutorial
- product name + review
- product name + pricing
I find that using TopicMojo or AnswerThePublic gives more relevant keywords than LTP for that particular use case and still provides long-tail keywords.

Initially I wasn’t getting any search results even for simple words.
Maybe system was upgrading or something. Now its totally opposite. I am getting the desired results.

I gotta admit that when I first purchased LTP, I felt completely disappointed. Actually came here and left a strongly worded review that didn't even get approved because it violated the site's policy regarding commenting. However, I decided not to refund right away, and I'm so glad I waited. After playing with LTP for a while, I was able to grasp its true potential. The tool is actually pretty amazing and unique, and credits will last a lot longer than what most people think. I mean a lot more, I've performed hundreds of searches and I still have over 16k searches left (bought tier 3).

You see, the thing is that LTP works differently to other kw tools, it helps you find untapped keywords that otherwise you wouldn't be able to find yourself, keywords that are complete off everyone's radar (at least mine, in my case). With just one run, you'll get a bunch of unique keyword suggestions and ideas that you probably didn't even know they existed.

With that said, everything is working fine now, Keyword difficulty scores are still a bit slow in my opinion, but that's just about it. Glad I didn't refund and won't be doing so anytime soon. Great deal, 5 tacos!

I used LTP back in 2012, very useful:
Input 1 seed keyword.
Hit “Generate Keywords”
Bam a nice list of long tail keywords ready to use... about 10-15 minutes process saving hours and hours of work.
Then... not sure what happened, too much too fast maybe, and other big names were catching up.
Glad it is on AppSumo... bought it and it does what I need: saves me lots of time!
